DarktheHeroAxel no for real tho, it was doubly crazy hype because this was wayyyy before the Deadpool movie, and Deadpool wasn’t nearly as popular then as he is now. Dante had also not been seen since DMC4 in 2008 so he was really missed too. Then the shootout scene was fucking sublime

Exactly, not only was it this incredibly well done scene that showed off both characters own styles, it was a statement on top of that. Everyone knew that it would be a new MvC the minute we saw Ryu and Wolverine, and we went through some expected characters, Ryu and Wolverine, Iron Man and Morrigan, an RE Rep (in this case Chris) and Hulk, etc. all returning or expected. And then we zoom in on Dante, one of the most popular and requested characters from Capcom, and Deadpool, one of the most popular and requested Marvel characters, getting confirmed right off the bat and in this incredible way that shows why the fans like these characters. It was a perfect storm of hype and really made brought home the entire trailer.

It fucking is, I was a huge DMC3 fan during that time, and that trailer introduced me to Deadpool. I mean cocky, nearly immortal doods in red, with guns and swords? It was a dream MvC mirror match! Street Fighter x Tekken trailers went hard as hell. Especially the Jin Vs Bison trailer. Edit: Seeing Jun Kazama in Tag 2 made me jump out my seat the first time I seen it. I was so fucking hyped to see my girl back...But then sadly they never brought her back to a cannon Tekken game. I am expecting to see her in Tekken 8 for sure though, if she's not part of season 2 DLC

I gotta say...this is the kind of content I enjoy most from Max! I LOVE when we get to see them geek out and show appreciation for all the old awesome fighting games/nostalgia. I know covering the new games is what keeps the channel up, but every once in a while getting to indulge in all the classic hype and going deeper into all this fighting game goodness/obscurity gives me a little happy warm feeling in my tummy. 23:30 The reason why this don't work is because Ryu is the poster child for Capcom while Capitan Marvel is a C tier character. When Ryu was fighting Wolverine it was epic not just because of the trailler itself(which was better) but because Wolverine is a well known character and he was a fan faw in the MvC games. If they wanna make it work they should have put Capitan America in there since he is the 2nd bigest Marvel hero right now(thanks to the films)

Getting excited over a new character reveal trailer is one thing for me, but witnessing how the developers showcase the return of a legacy character or a new arrival is what really drives it home. The designs old or new, their move sets, the artwork, the music, the special interactions (if included), and the camera work, all of it done right puts a huge smile on my face and gives me hope that video game companies haven't forgotten their roots and know exactly how to handle their creations.

Soulcaliber 4s was the best, especially the part when the Star Wars characters show up. I remember when I found that trailer, I was looking for Darth vs anyone trailers, and I typed in Vader vs Mitsurgi, my friends fav character, the Soul Cal 4 trailer popped up, I was shocked, I didn't know there was a Soulcal 4 in the works, and when it got to the part with Vader vs Mitsurgi I flipped out and so did my friend when he saw it.

This is like a “rate the goosebumps you get watching these trailers/intros” video. I’m so surprised they didn’t do the Tekken 5 intro though. They did 4 and 6, but not 5! 5 has probably one of my favorite intros in any game.

The Tekken 2 intro is definitely one of the more dated ones, but it has since garnered a more nostalgic retro aesthetic, so it at least has that appeal. That aside, it has just ONE single, very brief moment, and it is the sequence where some poor guy is somberly wallowing in a dark alley, only for him to be handed King's mask by a 1-second shot of Armor King! That ONE super brief moment is just PACKED with so much visual storytelling it's unreal! I think it's like the hardest moment in the franchise!

Love trailers, love Fighting Game trailers! While the game was kinda dubious, the trailers for Streetfighter X Tekken were HYPE and really awesome. It was so revolutionary at the time for Namco and Capcom to join up and have their characters clash. Great fighting game trailers have gusto, coolness and show a LOT but still leave you wanting more. That's what is lacking in the Soul Calibur VI trailers, and that game NEEDS to get more hype. Tekken has always had great trailers that build tons of anticipation, from Tekken 6, TTT2 and even Tekken 7. And yeah, that Killer Instinct trailer was godlike. :)
