In this video I demonstrate how to do decline curve analysis using rate-time decline. We will determined reserves and EUR of a gas well using production data. Although this method does not predict reserves accurately (for reasons mentioned in the video), it is a building block to understand the more complicated interpretations because it uses Arps' equations. Sir, at 14.47 the b value changed from 0.6 to 0.433. Can you explain why this thing happened?

Hi, is that possible to mix to decline curves as a one solution. for example mix between Hyperbolic and Exponential curves ?

yes there are known methods to combine hyperbolic and exponential curves into one DCA, particularly for unconventional tight gas reservoirs

You mention minimizing the loss between arps and your data for the best fit line, so why not just include this loss function in your code as opposed to having to manually alter each arps parameter. It almost defeats the purpose of writing code at all.
