Also not everyone wants to be super famous, my doctor plays bass in a jazz band and they’re perfectly happy doing small shows at bars. I played in a punk band and we had a lot of connections to people in Fat Wreck Chords. Had the lead singer not gotten addicted to heroin and caused the band to break up, we would have eventually gotten signed to them or another punk label. It’s about what you find creatively fulfilling, not the money.

Idk that’s really subjective in this case. He’s definitely very skilled at what he does, but that early 2000s cartoony rap didn’t age well. D12, Obie Trice and others singles don’t get play anymore. Only ones that do really are some of Eminem’s with his Slim Shady persona, and maybe Redman once in a while... Lol I do see there’s over a million views here now though so people must be on a nostalgia trip I guess... I still feel like this song is missing the best part of what made most of those songs good - a hook. The chorus here is weird it’s not really catchy with him just starting and stopping the words in a weird timing and order...

Nice to see RA finally getting the attention he deserves. So many times hanging out with him at the CopShop he seemed depressed. He's a great example of what someone can achieve if you keep trying, regardless what obstacles life throws your way. I'm a old hip hop head from way back and I truly miss them days. I remember running to the music store just to buy the Eazy-E and Paris guerrilla funk tape and then quickly running back home so I could listen to it on my sony cassette player and my parents telling me to turn that noise down, my neighbor's knocking on my door telling my parents to tell your son to turn that shit down. You would get that excitement back in the days on who's album is sick who is the most lyrical who's got the sick beats, production. Everything was quality in the 90s. I remember hearing about a new group called Black Moon when were dropping there first album Enta da stage and there was just massive hype around it and we were all just so excited for it to drop and when it came out guess what??? I went running down the music store like linford Christie. Grabbed the black moon album and back home and blasted the shit out of the album. Screaming who got the props..nowadays you dont get that excitement anymore..man I miss them days.. today generations do not have a clue.
