Haltane is my signature scent and I own Carlisle, Layton, Sedley, and Galloway. Love them all but Galloway has been my go to for the past 6 months. It smells amazing whether it’s cool outside or 100 degrees with 50% humidity. It’s so unique - fresh, spicy, and alluring. I don’t believe there is another fragrance out there that smells like Galloway. The PDM rep at the Nordstrom in Dallas gave me a sample of LE and recommended I layer with Galloway. The iris, orange blossom, and musk blends so well with the geranium, oud, vanilla, coffee, and patchouli. Its magical. My wife loves the combination.

@ the oud, praline, and saffron mid is what I love the most about Haltane. Office safe, yes but I wouldn’t go more than two sprays.

In my experience, Herod is loved by a lot of women and it seems their appreciation for it is because it’s a great scent that is amazing in close quarters. When you’re close and intimate, they don’t really want “beast mode” that overwhelms them. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard raving compliments about it. Especially in those kinds of circumstances. Also, I’m surprised to hear your experience with Greenley. That fragrance is long lasting and strong whenever I wear it. Greenley is not the top PDM that I own (I agree with you on Layton and Althair) but I find it is a good/unique (and long lasting) fragrance.

I've never had an issue with Sedley's performance. In fact, it's the only PDM I've received compliments for. I didn't think it was very noticeable, but apparently, it leaves a strong trail that other people will smell.

Kalan for the win. I know some don't like it and I love that about you if that's the case. It's so unique I can't stop smelling myself. I get the cigarette note in the opening but there's so much more to this fragrance. Want to wear something that makes you stand out that absolutely no one around you is wearing and has great performance? Kalan. I love Herod too and own a FB but yeah, the performance is wanting. Haltane is a great year round oud if you adjust the sprays based on the heat and humidity (btw, spot on with the praline note!).

I just bought the PDM masculine sample pack a few weeks ago, and got a sample of Perseus this past weekend from my friend who works at Nordstrom. I love Haltane, but I hate the high pricetag. I've bought two fragrances that were that expensive so far, Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade and Nuit de Feu. I also love Perseus so far. I'm seriously considering using my $50 off coupon for a 75 ml bottle of that. Layton is really growing on me too; I got a sample of that from PDM. I got Althair, Layton Exclusif, Haltane, Greenley, Percival, Layton, Carlisle, Pegasus, and Herod samples from PDM, and Perseus from Nordstrom. I like Greenley a lot, but I already have Louis Vuitton Pacific Chill, and I like Haltane a lot, but I already have LV Ombre Nomade and Nuit de Feu. Perseus has really caught my attention, though. I've sprayed it on my left hand, the past few days, and I just can't stop smelling it! I don't know if it's the ambergris or what, but I love the grapefruit scent top note and the base scent. I just ordered Azzaro The Most Wanted Parfum from Amazon; it's on sale for just $87.50 for the 100 ml for Prime day today! I was really hoping to get a big bottle of that before it got cold again. I already had a sample and a 10 ml bottle, and knew that I love that fragrance. I'm still pretty excited about that. I was going to order a small bottle of Grand Soir, and a sample set from Maison Francis Kurkdjian, because I have a sample of Grand Soir and I LOVE it, but I might wait. I saw the huge 200 ml bottle of Grand Soir on sale on Amazon too, for like $395.

I have 10 PDM. Every one of them is top notch!!! If I’m going fresh? Greenley, or Perseus. Colder months? I’m rotating Oajon, Herod, Carlisle, Haltane, Habdan, Layton, & Althair. I have Percival, & honestly that is the last PDM I reach for when deciding which to wear. PDM has to be 1 of the best houses in the game.

Old batches of Kalan were amazing. The opening was harsh but the in the dry down it got euphoric. It used to last long also. But sadly they have ruined it.

not affiliated, but i do recommend getting the discovery set, you get its value as a coupon for me and my sisters, 36 / 29 / 21 yrs, Layton and Carlisle smell very similar, Carlisle has gotten me a compliment so has Haltane i personally prefer Percival over Sedley Althair I do see being unisex, its a very good/nice vanilla smell your milage may very, it is definitely worth getting samples

I tried althaïr in an airport a few days ago and it left yellow stains on my wrists, it surprised me alot from this brand and I can't find anyone else who has had this problem. I was able to rub out the yellow stains so it wasn't an allergic reaction. Can anyone tell me what this could've been? The smell was amazing but I'm scared to buy it if it's gonna leave stains.

@ yes to both. I have Fierce and it’s a lighter, more airy version of Percival. Legend smells like a diet version of Percival, but Legend EDP is the closest thing to Percival. Both are dense, but with Legend EDP u get some sweetness not found in Percival

Carlisle doesn't have decent performance. The new formulation is a skin scent after 1 hour. The old one was complete beast mode, a room filler for 12 hours though. But it's difficult to get. I wouldn't recommend to buy any of the newer batches from PdM, they all have been watered down.

I disagree that PDM makes better Oriental based fragrances than freshies. To me, Perseus , Greenley, Galloway, Percival are much better than Layton, Herod (yikes), Haltane (lovely in itself but too mature to my taste), Pegasus or any of the exclusive versions.

No Percival no list. Perfect signature scent. Percival in the heat, Haltane in the cool/cold you’re all set. No cigarette smell, no potpourri smell, no coffee or candy smell. Just well blended heaven on earth scents that you never have to worry about being too much. Pure class!

You’d be surprised how many people was still try and wear something that doesn’t work for them. In fact, this is even more of a specific case of it not working for people around you and if they are around you on a daily basis, that is a big factor as well! Which PDM is your go to?
