i agree. tho it fails on something. it needs heavily a garlic. or at least a pumpkin with a ladder on it. its not good using it alone in the wild. it will die pretty quickly for the horrors that zombotanies and tanky zombies are. at least doom icy gloom shroom fixes that.

My comprehensive thoughts on the tier list pt2. And oh boy here we get to the below mid tier... Bowling wallnut is not that bad at all, its technically a way to turn an almost dead wallnut into insta-killing machine. Its even better than jalapeno at that job and only cost 25 more sun max (50 sun wallnut + 100 sun wallnut if u want to use the plant immediately). Not to mention it blocks cherry and peas from zombies and deals with pole vaulter. Its at least a 6 or higher tbh Solar nut is a good way to restore the hp of your almost dying wallnut, and its a cheap way to do so while waiting for your wallnut to recharge, i think its better to be a 5 Iceshroom (and other ice type plants you put below 5th tier) should be placed at least 6. Not only iceshroom stun the entire screen allowing you to have time to react to close calls especially in challenges and odyssey they also give you more time to set up your defense early game. Also im not gonna talk about lily pad and flower pot lmao Magcactus is extremely good for survival and higher difficulties as it takes down zomppelin and buckcopter zombies when they are too tanky for bloverthorn pumpkin to deal with. To me its a 6. Solar chomper being 3 is another sad one. To give this one credit, its basically a cheap way to get lots of chomper when you save 100 sun instead of spending them on placing another chomper. Doesnt matter much during late game, but early game it deals with all the annoying zombies the game threw at u too early, especially in challenges and minigames, while also giving you extra sun if you use the fertilizer on them. Should have been a 6 imo. Trippy shroom is kind of bad on its own, but when pair with hypno nut they become an op combo in which the hypnonut is constantly being healed by the shroom shots while also summoning more zombies. In my experience its a 4. Also why is there another starlure lmao, nvm theres 4 starlures in the tier list, i think u mean the plants at different lumos levels lol Regular magnet at 1 is sad. Again it makes all the difference on higher difficulties and can insta kill rugby nut and buckcopter zombies, render mecha Giga-gargantuar almost useless, 3 of the most tanky and annoying zombies in normal mode. It also nullify jack in the box and miner zombies completely. All in 1 plant. Deserves at least 5.5. Melon umbrella is another underrated plant. It can repel zombies (and has more hp than the other umbrellas that can do that), repel projectiles shot by zombies (including cherry bomb) and is such a nice counter to any zombies that can shoot. Me when puff shroom being trash tier: 💀(bro was struggling to survive early night levels on hard difficulty) Spikeweed aint that useless bruh its a fast recharge instakill for vehicle type zombies Peashooter is easy trash tier, outclassed by everything in the mod except for cabbage pult, which is even more trash. You dont even use it on the first level cause u can instantly make sunshooter and higher level peas Alr ty for listening to my nerd yapping

sunshooter is better than twin sunflower when the level consists of high hp zombies and difficulty 5 makes every zombie 3x tankier so it is great but it is obsolete later at stages 10 and above

Sunshooter's cooldown to shoot is a little bit long tho,Atleast it produces 5 sun everytime it hits a zombie and has quite high damage for early game but i still think twin sunflower is better imo.

My comprehensive thoughts on the tier list 🤓. These are just my personal opinions for discussion, you can have your own and thats fine ofc (A few things to note: Im basing my opinions on the usability eg. the total cost for fusion, how easy it is to fuse and how powerful the plant is. Also I use difficulty 4 and higher as the benchmark on how to judge the plants so some might have been much better in lower difficulties but much worse on high difficulties. By recharge i mean how fast you can plant the seed packet again.) Immitator is overrated af, its op in odyssey if you have the faster recharge buff. In other gamemodes its recharge is so slow by the time you can plant one your whole defense is already up and u no longer need to plant anything. To me its only a 7/10 Solar nut is easy S tier, it can even solo Abyssal gargantuar. Blast pumpkin cherry explosion is kinda useless on higher levels of odyssey, not to mention it loses its ability to attack flying zombies and gets run over if you put it at the front to protect obsidinut or sth like that. 6/10 for me. Aegis umbrella (Ruby umbrealla) ability is also overrated as you have cherrizilla and usually u wouldnt be able to put it at the front due to it getting ran over, also it loses the ability to bounce bullet like cabbage umbrella. 6/10 for me again. Krakerberus use is limited to pool levels, and it can easily get destroyed by white whale rider or any whale riders that can jump past tallnuts. Its ability is nice but u need to spam it in order for it to work most effectively, and that takes up the limited space in the pool. 7/10 for me. Sea-blow shroom I never find myself using it, but when i used it once it was ok. A 5/10 would work for me. Swordmaster starfruit has high damage but its quite expensive, has a long reload and its attack is only effective short-range. Another 5/10 at best. Melon cannon has high aoe dmg, but isnt op enough for me to be a 9. An 8 or 7 would be better imo, same for golden melon Alchemist umbrella is quite overrated, its good for the repel effect but thats pretty much it, not to mention the garlic effect is annoying sometimes. I dont ever use its special ability in normal mode and umbrella husk (corn umbrella) is much cheaper. It does have higher hp than other umbrellas but its much more expensive and takes up 3 seed slots to fuse. A 6/10. Salad pult should be a 9 or arguably a 10, its dmg is rly good, it has splash dmg and can stun zombies. Good for pretty much any gamemode. Plus u can use gift box to fuse it instead of using melon to reduce cost early-game Sniper pea is good for the map its in. It can target flying zombies and the instakill ability is op. Should be a 9 imo. Golden umbrella is the same as alchemist umbrella but without the garlic effect, a 5/10 imo just cause its only worth making to heal the silver umbrella and again, umbrella husk exist. Kelp spreader is krakerberus but worse, it doesnt multi hit and the dmg is not good unless spam. Its a 4/10 for me. Gold magnet ability can be annoying sometimes when it diverge bullets to other lanes instead of attacking its own lane, 7 or 6 would be better imo Golden kernel pult and golden cabbage pult at 8 is too high, i think a 7 is better. Their ultimates are fine but they dont do much else and get outclassed by golden melon (not to mention golden melon's ultimate cost less coins) Chewzilla. My guy can act as a wallnut, deal massive dmg and even push zombies back. He deserves an 8 Doomberg shroom deserves an 8 imo. Its a good way to use iceshroom and doomshroom effects from the gift box and it has spash dmg + peircing + slow down Silver melon has higher dmg than normal melon and thats it, its a 4 or 5 imo Gift box is a 9, it's short recharge allows u to fuse much more plants when their recipes require a plant that has long recharge time (eg. doomberg shroom, inferno wood, frost and scorch nut for obsidinut in odyssey, etc...), plus it allows u to save some seed slots and sometimes even cost (salad pult is a prime example). Being able to spam-use ice shroom and doomberg shroom by using gift box on fume shroom is also op. Scorch weed is just a weaker spike inferno (fire spikerock), its a 6 or 5.5 for me. Twin sunflower and sunshroom cannot be 6. Just try a level on higher difficulties with only single sunflower. Sun production is so much slower without them. Somehow bro thinks twin marrigold is in the same tier as cherry chomper. Yes its cheap but theres gold magnet and alchemist umbrella, both producing much more coins. Its good for producing coins early game for golden plants but thats all. a 4/10 would be better to me. Wintermelon deserves a 7, its able to freeze zombies so much faster than other ice plants excluding iceshroom ofc. Also splash effect Regular chomper deserves 7 or even 8. It can insta kill so many annoying zombies that other instakill plants cant on higher difficulties and has extremely fast recharge. Plus u can fuse it with so many other plants to get essentially a second insta kill (solar chomper is an example) Chomp shooter is kinda useless unless u fuse it for chewzilla or to get another instakill from chomper. Either way its bullets dont do much so to me it should be lower than other at around 5.5 Cattail girl makes my day better. Shes an anime woman. In a game about plants fighting zombies. And she even SPEAKS. WHAT PLANT COULD DO THAT?? 11/10 no doubt. (Usage-wise shes like 4 or 5 😥cause shes pretty much a slightly better regular cattail with better visuals, good for early game but you wouldnt waste a seed slot to use her as damage right??? Im still a cattail girl simp tho, more fanarts when?) Magled-shroom (lantern magnet) is underrated. Lower reload, further range and can pretty much counter jack in the box + mecha gargantuar. It belongs to 7 imo. Squash lily pad is kinda dumb cause it takes a while to spawn squash. who would use that in a regular mode? 4 or 5 imo. All squash variants in tier 5.5 should be 4 imo, they dont do much except at the early-game. Neko squash is cute tho (and so is her description 😺) Lantern is very useful for empowering lumos plants and clear the fog, a 6 or 7 pls. How does anyone ever use Sea star? Its an F tier. Low dmg and not time-efficient at all cause u have to wait for it to grow in order to deal only 20 more dmg in 1 shot. Rugby shroom can act as a wallnut and its shots peirce thru armor and it has 4 times the dmg of a regular fume shroom, its a 6 imo. Mini hypno is useful for early game on high difficulties and in night challenges. U get 3 hypno instakill at the cost of 1 hypno shroom. Imo its a 6 or 5.5 Jack'o lantern (lantern pumpkin) deserves better. It can heal itself when theres enough lumos level, can empower lumos plants and saves space instead of placing a lantern. It should be 7 imo. Umbrella husk (corn umbrella) being 5 is a crime. Fully counters mecha nut and pogos, can stun zombies and deal a bit of dmg to them, giving you time to set up your defense and is pretty much the cheapest option for that job. It deserves a 7 at least. And oh boy here we get to the below mid tier... (my comment gets cut off cause its too long, theres another comment i made for this)

Aegis can’t use pult projectiles and is more defensive. I’ll be real here any good defensive plant is just as good as aegis or better. Midas can be used offensively as it can reflect pult projectiles. While Aegis seems better it’s just not fit for being a defensive plant as Obsidian-Nut or Garlizilla could pretty much be a better defense. Aegis is only really good by itself or only in levels with projectile zombies (even melon outclasses depending on that said level)
