I think once the hype does down, a lot of people are going to discover that the Shane Dawson palettes are not very wearable. I did not watch the series, so it just looks like an odd combination to me. I am surprised that the ND Gold Palette / Alter Ego Aurora palette was not on your list. It’s amazing!

I agree! I didn’t think the gold palette came out this year I thought it was last year so that’s why it’s not included. Aurora is just a replica of the sunrise one so since it’s basically the same palette I talked about the original. 🤷🏻‍♀️those are both amazing palettes though! ♥️

I definitely think the colors on their own are pretty and I love the formula of jeffrees eyeshadows, I just find they don't really work together well from just looking at them. Maybe I'd change my mind if I played around with the palette though.

What a lovely video! I expected Mercury to be in your top 5 at least. As for me, this year I loved Lime Crime Venus XL2 pallette: it's so spring-like! And though I didn't like their matte formula,the shimmers and glitters were beautiful. I would recommend you to check-out Christine Dominique's pallettes: her berries and cream pallette just blew my mind! I plan to grab two more: rustic glam and celestial storm.

New subscriber here. I loved this video. My favourite for this year is the Tati’s palette. It is the easiest palette I own. I don’t have many big palettes as I usually buy quads and big palettes overwhelm me. But Tati’s palette changed that for me. I have my eyes on Jackie’s and ND sunrise one. I am a bit scared to splurge on ND as my experience with Lila palette was horrible. I had to pass it on. Looking forward to your ABH rankings. I just tried Huda Beauty palletes this year. I've fallen in love with them. I have the Desert Dusk, Nude light, and the coral obsessions. They're all so blendable and lasting. I really enjoy watching your pallete looks. One of my favorites of this year was the Jawbreaker palette from Jeffree Star.

Patty, I just watched it! You are awesome - that’s all I have to say! I have worn Bare Minerals foundations for so many years and when my skin looks good I wear the Complexion Rescue tinted moisturizer. However, most often than not, I need more coverage so I mix Complexion Rescue with Kay Von D Lock-it foundation. I recently repurchased it but I am in a hunt for another foundation. I don’t know if it is the foundation or my setting powder but it has not been long-wearing which is very frustrating. Well, essentially what I want to say is thank you for reviewing all of these foundations and I will try them. :)

I personally think neon green palette can move up a little bit - if we use the neon greens as eyeliners, that goes well with the remaining colors and can transform the whole look a little bit. I just pick up make up revolution bright in life from Ulta and I am liking it so far!

Woohoo! This is my sign! I've been going back and forth on the Mercury Retrograde palette and now I know I NEED it!!! My favorite palettes from 2019 were the Huda Nude Obsessions Light palette (that's the one in my work makeup bag because it's so travel friendly and perfect for nude work appropriate looks), the ABH Jackie Aina palette & the Natasha Denona Sunrise palette. I also have the Carli Bybel palette and I really love that one too. What was sort of a con for you (a bit monochrome I think you said?) is the exact reason it was a pro for me. So that just goes to show that different people have different preferences and that's okay 😊 I can't wait to see what 2020 brings in terms of palette launches! And for me personally, I hope 2020 brings the Mercury Retrograde palette and I together. I want it SOOO much!!!

I knew Huda Mercury Retrograde would be number 1. I’ve been on Tarte website again on Boxing Day though and got the Winter Wonderglam palette for just over £20 compared to £51 when it was launched. They also upgraded my reward status 🤦🏼‍♀️ early. I’m in Spain for 4 weeks over my birthday in August though and they actually have Sephora, so I’m tempted to to get it then. I’ve already got 4 new Tarte and Huda Topaz obsessions plus winter wonderglam to play with over next few months. I seriously need inspiration though, I’m looking at all these colours and keep ending up with very similar looks 😩x

The ABH Carli Byble is my No1 pallet. I don’t own many palletes anyway, but I love that one for every day looks. I think it’s versatile and easy to work with, plus I love the shades. I’m using it almost every day now that it’s summer in Chile. So I’m very offended 😂😂, just keading! I like this kind of videos because it helps me to think about the use before purchasing something. For example, I love the neon Palette from Huda, but I don’t see myself wearing it. Maybe 20 years ago when I was going out dancing every weekend I would have use that a lot, but not with my current lifestyle.

I’m beginning to think my palette is a dud! I have the huda beauty light has soooo muchhhh fall out and glitter, I even have glitter particles after double cleansing! The mattes are amazing but the shimmer shades do not work for me... tried brush application, tried brush with setting spray, tried with finger, even setting spray on the finger and the glitter is still like a bomb!

I actually use the Mini Controversy palette the most of all my palettes. I've found a look, using this, that I love. But my absolute favourite is Textured Neutrals by Tati. The first time I used it, I got the most amazing eye look I've ever done with a palette. Using it is sooooo easy

Carly Winn that’s a shame. I freaking love that palette. I got it for Christmas and I’ve worn it several times already. I even used it for my New Years look. It’s a really beautiful palette.

I feel like the Carli Bybel palette is a love or hate palette. There's no in between. I personally ADORE this palette but I think the reason I love it is the reason some people don't like it. I think some people find the palette a bit monochrome overall but that's precisely the reason why I love it. I wear this palette a lot for work (which is a very conservative environmental in terms of clothes, makeup, etc) because I feel like it can be fun and unexpected while still being appropriate for my work environment. For me it brings unique looks that aren't loud.

I love JS matte formula, his and Viseart are my favs ....but for some reason the conspiracy palette just kinda fell flat for me. The shimmers irritated my eyes so bad, used it once and haven’t bothered again...the mini controversy is still untouched. I should have returned them, but for some reason I never return things ....so I guess I’ll just look at em and be annoyed ..lol. The color story doesn’t feel well-rounded/thought out or made with actually creating looks in mind...it’s just shades chosen individually. Where Jawbreaker was the complete opposite, it flows so well as a color story and just feels like a JS palette, the pastels are phenomenal make it unique and I love the matte/shimmer ratio. Makeup is subjective and I guess it’s good we have so many choices, as we all prefer different things. I also really love the Natasha Denona cream/powder formula, it’s just so unique, helps makes that high price worth it. ...
