Audio technica, find one for 230$ the needle is well set, good quality over all about evrething easy to use. And dont forget a record cleaning kit. Watch videos on how to handle records, store them standing up not stacked on top eachother, like the first clip in the video. And always try something you havent listened to before. Vinyl can bring new music. And for anyone curious vinyl plural is vinyl, just throwing it out there as a fun fact, but dont be snobby about it😂. But yea used vinyl is great for new music, and audio technica is the best kind. Dont get a crappy cheap vinyl player, take my word for it. Anyone else reading, happy vinyl collecting

Okay i got alot of records since last year. My first 3 i bought was Thriller, News Of The World, and Hot Rocks (rolling stones). Note to anyone buy holders for vinyl, never buy clear holders they suck, one time they broke and vinyls fell down, by metal ones. I think i am getting close to 100 records rn, i own alot of oldies records like Elvis,beatles, queen, bobby vee, and johnny horton. My top 10 that hold alot of value to me are 10:Rolling Stones Hot Rocks (because it has most hits from 1965 - 1971, also vintage as well) 9 Elton John's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (One elton's best albums, and has my favorite songs on it. And it is a 70s pressing, pressed in 77, 4 years after first release) 8 Johnny Horton: world of john horton (1970s) features some of his best country song before he died in a crash in the early 1960s) 7 Stray Cats Built For Speed (some of their best songs in a complication, and i'm major love for rockabilly. And first released ever in the US) 6 The Beatles Abbey Road (It is the 2019 mix anniversary, and it was a great, i love the album it made me love the sings more) 5 Pink Floyd dark side of the moon (what can i say? Its one the best albums in history, listen to it for yourself) 4 John Lennon mind games (i think this album deserves more love than it does, it has great songs from john and it is from the 70s I'm pretty sure as well) 3 George Harrison extra texture (read all about it) some say its one of his worst, but i disagree heavily it has some of beautiful songs by george You,Guitar Can't Keep From Crying, Can't Stop Thinking About You. And i wish it got more loved. 2 Paul Mccartney And Wings wings over america (this is one of the best live albums, a TRIPLE record of wings best songs, and a lot of people agree a lot of the songs on here sound better than the studio version.also vintage but the best thing when i bought this IT HAS THE POSTER STILL IN IT, i was so lucky when i got it.) 1 Elvis Presley- Moody Blue (A major reason i put this is over alot of records people love more than this one is a couple of reasons, i love elvis's music and in fact i own 3 of his live albums, 3 golden records, and 5 studio albums. And even though i own a lot of vintage records, this copy is a 1st pressing of his last album he made, and it was pressed under 1000 which holds more care for me, lastly it has some of his most beautiful songs he recorded before passing, both studio and live tracks.)

Second dude has such a good taste in music lol, I’m trying to get a copy of ok computer but it’s double the price because it comes with two vinyls lol. And omg the guy with the A24 movie soundtrack is a legend lol But yeah I collect records too, and love just having that physical copy of my favorite albums. I have a Crosley, a player you can get for pretty damn cheap at Walmart or hobby lobby. It works well although mine definitely has a scratching sound to it almost which I guess is normal. You’re not getting records for quality, you’re going for the lo-fi collectible vibes. I also highly recommend a Walkman or cassette player like it, I love cassettes even more and although it’s hard to find at times most new artists sell cassettes on merch shops at least for a little bit. I’m happy to see other vintage aethsetic people like me haha.

I don't use records because for me personally they would be sitting on the shelf collecting dust and they're expensive. I have to be up and doing something when I listen to an album. Now I have a stellar CD collection. CD's are better because they are less expensive, take up less space, last longer, easier to use, and you can carry em anywhere. Only downside compared to a record is that the packaging is not as cool but it has all the more advantages. The one advice I have for anyone wanting to start collecting records is to make sure you're buying these records to actually play them instead of it laying around all for nothing also PLEASE PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE be financially responsible and have a plan on how much you are saving and spending on this hobby because buying lots of records is extremely expensive. I myself have spent over $800 dollars on CD's more so older rare ones. Rare older physical media are going to eat up your wallet.....but I gots to have it in my case cause i'm a compulsive hoarder lol

@@ash10ashofficial63 Then you must have cheap and used records cause a good record that last long and is brand new is going to cost you at least over $20 and even over $100 if it's an oldie. There is no record shop where I live so I buy all my CD's online AND DUDEEEE it took me so long to find one of my favorite and rare CDs to find which was Rick James "Fire It Up" album. The record was like over $300 and I found the CD on Ebay for $140 sumn but that's just for a new CD plus had to pay more for shipping. Yea I imagine for someone who wants a good brand new original press for an older album it's going to be EXTREMELY expensive.

yo bro if u want the best starter set up get the audio technica bluetooth for 150 u can even find one at walmart for the price of 160 due to tax and the speaker i got was $44 from walmart i been collecting since 2021 and up close to nearly 50 records now it takes time and also remember get the music u want to get and get the music u like yes other records may look cool but it dose not mean you have to get it just cause of the looks and get the records you know your going to spin daily and not once a year

I recommend you to cop the reloop RP-1000 Mk2 It’s a fire ass record player with a slow and fast motion on it and it’s not that expensive and fun fact: beastie boys dj used them at his shows • • and for the speakers I personally got the Presonus eris E8 Studio quality no doubt about it. i would start with some stuff that u like but its not that expensive then get more expensive if u want like rare ones i would totally recommend cds to because there cheap and there nearly the same as records and the player for cds is cheap 2 but if u want vinyl get vinyl but if ur going into somewhere that does second hand i would check if it is scratched or not if it isnt and u like the artist take but if it is scratched dont take it
