I feel like with a lot of ships, not just in harry potter in any fandom, a lot of the time the only reason people ship certain people is because of the fanon relationship people created. Like with Drarry and Dramonie, the fanfics are phenomenal and really showcase the enemies to lovers' trope. But, if you were to get someone who didn't know anything about Harry potter to watch the movies, there's really no way they would ever ship either of them. I don't ship either of them, but I do agree that the fanon relationship is pretty decent. It just wouldn't match up, canonly, at all

I think it's so beautiful that we all have like very specific and unique versions of HP in each of our heads. Like to all us, the characters are different with so many different headcanons and ships and everything. I genuinely don't think Draco and Pansy would have lasted, even if Draco didn't become a death eater, and here's why. At the beginning of Half Blood Prince (the book.) When on the train, Draco is laying on Pansy's lap, and the book describes how Pansy, felt that any other girl would be jealous and wanted to be in her position just because she's dating Draco. And for me, from that information given, I think Pansy saw Draco as a trophy more than a partner.
