Titans are like planeswalkers from mtg. You have to look at them in the sense that you more than likely will not get a second activation so that one ability better be extremely relevant

They're a lot like Planeswalkers from MTG. Planeswalkers killed MTG, along with the digital era and a refusal to adapt when it came to a digital version after all... but on MTG's end itself, it was Planeswalkers. Nigh endless value engine unconditional wincons which demand immediate removal to still 2-for-1 or better the turn they're played. Not that Hearthstone hasn't been sitting on the edge of its grave since 2017's first huge power creep push of course.

Wouldn't she keep count of the abilities tho? I assume you'll not gonna be able to use an ability that titan has already used, but still pretty good, even just using her straight up as a titan killer.

So a few important points that may change the point of view of some: -Titans can't be generated in any way. Can't discover them, can't be generated by transformation... nothing. -Titans abilities are "their attacks", the reason you can use an ability the turn they are played is because they have "fake" Charge. -Similarly, if you silence a titan the turn is played, it will have summoning sickness and won't be able to attack. It will be able to attack normally the next turn tho. -If you somehow give them Windfury, you can use two abilities in one turn. Or all three with Mega-windfury. -Since abilities count as attacks from the titans, they apply stuff like Lifesteal or Poison. -If a titan is resurrected or returned to the hand, it gains all three abilities again. -Noggenfogger will allow you to choose freely the ability, but the target is random. -An ability that requires a target yet doesn't have a valid one can't be used. -Forcing a titan to attack will cause a normal attack, instead of using up one ability.

Something that I find interesting is that in cases where minions can’t be targeted by spells or hero powers, like the rogue titan, other titan abilities like Strike from History and Lord of Skies should still be able to target them.

I personally believe that the Hunter and the Warlock got the best two Titans. I think people are undervaluing a 6 mana deal 15 to face in hunter, granted on the condition that you need no taunt minions, however it puts your opponent on a clock that is hard to deal with as they have to not only deal with your weapon, but a beefy titan that on 6 will probably survive a turn and buff your weapon more. Even if you deal with the Aggramar you have now spent mana to do so, the Hunter still having immediate preassure to go face. Drawing cards with the weapon on the second hit will give you more burn, effectivly making the card Deal 15, draw 2 guarenteed if not dealt with which is nuts. Warlock's is a twisting nether with upside that even if it is cleared, you are still putting 6/4 stats on your board every turn for free, even more if he sticks. This card basically needs a hard removal spell is pretty unlikely against most classes and could be the perfect top end card for a slower Warlock class, which will only be more powerful as this set seems to have a more value orriented design so far. Granted, this could mean the set could be pretty weak if aggro just takes precident, sorta like a Rhastakan, where most of the new cards dont see much play which is my only concern. However it is far too early to say this set is to slow seeing as we havnet seen the new tools. But if the meta is Slowed, Warlock's Titan is a beast, being able to outgrind decks like Blood DK and classes that don't find a way to win early. Rogue's Titan I think is pretty bad, maybe the worst next to Mage? The only effect that sorta is exciting is Deal 4 randomly. The ideal state being You have one minion and your opponent has none to deal 10 damage to face with your attacking minion. That is very good, but that is a very specific board condition on turn 6 requiring you to be ahead on board and have a minion able to attack. Of course you can trade then play it to guarentee 8 damage but you have to do that on turn 6 without spending any mana which seems tough. The other effects are not so exciting and you are just buffing a minion that takes 4 turns to make a first attack seems way to slow. This card needs to win the turn its played I believe and a 5 health statline isnt much, so I dont think you get the draw 2 off of it.

@@555Soupy555 Yeah it is boring, but 6 Mana deal 15 draw 2 is cracked, and of all the Titans I think this one is slept on. Rogue's isnt paticularly interesting either, but its one of those cards that is either the nuts or shit, and saying its going to be really good or really bad is not saying anything at all.

Keep in mind that minions like Zola can return some of the titans and repeat good abilities. This means that the warrior minion is more or less 10 dmg in an aggro deck. Also, sticking board as a warlock can result in two portals that summon four 3/6 demons

Okay, with all of the cards that rogue got this expansion, I really think that the rogue Titan is legit an S Tier card now. Rogue has a few different stealth cards, including that magnetic mech spyder card and also Inkveil Ambusher, so you can almost guarantee this hitting something even aside from shadowstep. But altogether, rogue seems like its gonna be super aggressive and this will be a key component to sealing out the game. Like I think most rogue games are ending on turn 7 if you play this on 6.

I crafted it right on launch day and wasn't really able to make the deck work, but I know rogue just got a bunch more cards so I wonder if that's what it needed to finally be a good deck. It also seems like the real winner of the mech rogue deck was Mimiron the Mastermind, that card is insane

@@bakuganfox Not necessarily. That's the only currently viable use, but aside from v07tr0n itself having the mech tribe, nothing about it specifies mechs. I think it will be really good in any kind of sticky tempo deck, whether it's mech or not. There aren't many of those in the meta right now but they'll be back.

something interesting with Aggramar is that you could potentially equip another weapon and buff that one instead. probably wont be useful in the slightest but its a thing you can do.

if you have 1 minion without summoning sickness on board and your opponent has none, then Voltron, attach the cannons shadowstop, voltron, attach the cannons is 20 damage for 10 mana. Also works as boardclear. Seems good enough to run as an alternate finisher in most decks that run minions, I would say. And like you said if you maximize defenses on an empty board, it should stick and then you can play a charger maybe and then attach cannons.

The warrior titan in enrage warrior seems great, it can draw your axe on turn 6(if you didn't already draw it) and since anima extractor can buff it it can become quite sticky and hard to remove

Nah the warrior titan is way too slow. its a control warrior card - unless warrior gets a bunch of board clear this expac - expect warrior to be low tier again. typical blizz balancing.

@@impkiller5932 blizz killed Control warrior back in the og days as games were almost always taking way too long. This is why they are normally pushing aggro/mid-ranged decks. The card is meh with that costing and being a 4/4, it should cost 4 mana imo, also when you compare this to other titans it's super underwhelming.

Important thing for Voltron. If you Maximize Defense, you can't shadowstep it, cause it can't be targeted with spells. So most likely, Rogue plays Voltron, picks one of the other two, shadow steps. Repeat until its time for Voltron to stick, and then pick Maximize Defense.

I commented on this in the live video too, but you are off about Sergaras' imps. If the wording is consistent, which granted Hearthstone isn't known to be, but I like being positive, it's 2 imps the first turn after the portal is plonked down, and 4 imps after that, since it's at the end of EACH turn, yours AND your opponents. (it has the same wording as Gruul, who triggers at the end of both player's turns)

I feel like these new hearthstone titans give an new unique and fresh way too play the meta and overall game and its such an cool mechanic and cards too have those big titans in play you can just totally change the game by just throwing it down on the board and then just sweep across the enemies.

1 year update: Eonar is one of the big reasons why druid is -broken- druid, and basically the only other 2 titans that see consistent play are Primus and Aman'Thul

The Warrior Titan isn't the coolest titan, but it's effects actually do something each turn that help you right for the board. Since each Titan can't do anything until 3 turns later, it seems a little more proactive than others. I think it's a solid midrange card that will be valued somewhere in the upper middle of a deck as far as drawn win rates go.

The problem is that it's not that great of a board control, and it's pretty useless for anything else. Not to mention that it's the easiest one to deal with, unless you take the +5 health which still seems pretty weak.

Creation protocol used for Aman'Thul, is really insane, that is a guaranteed victory, nobody lasts throughout the game at 3 Aman'thul. That was my first legendary card that I got with dust and I'm not sorry at all

I do think basically every deck should include the titan atm, but for relative power level, I would say S: DK A: Warlock, Druid, Priest B: DH, Hunter, Shaman, Rogue C: Paladin D: Mage, Warrior

If you want it to be consistent you would have to run just jailer and Tony as minions and rest spells and that deck would not be good. If you just wanted to run it as a win condition as a control paladin it would be inconsistent and not great against other control decks as they will either not care cause it's too low pressure or they have an answer.

To be fair, if you use the warlock titan, then use Legion invasion and after it use Inferno, you will get 2 6 8 taunts which is pretty good

I'm gonna call it now. Voltron prime is gonna be nerfed to 7 mana. With Shadowstep and Bounce Around in the same standard, you can Voltron prime twice in one turn on 10 mana. 'Semi-magical christmas land'. If your opponent has nothing on their board, and you have 1 singular 1/1. You are doing 21 damage to them in one turn. 6 mana, play Voltron, Attach the cannons, deal 4x2 to face and make the 1/1 a 3/2. Use either shadowstep or Bounce Around to return to hand, replaying voltron to do the same thing. 4x2 to face and make it a 5/3. You've now done 16 to face, and attack with the 5/3 to do 21. Making Voltron Prime 7 mana stops BOTH of those cards from doing that. Other option is make cannon only hit enemy minions, ofc.

V-07-TR-0N Prime feels like a card from the future, it looks and feels like a card from Mech Rogue, an archetype that doesn't exist yet. Unless they make it viable in this expansion with (good) rogue mech minions.

being the only titan that feels good after 2 effects being for mage seems correct. they got blizzard and frost nova, and many other freeze tools, so it basically has to be killed from hand, but you also get counterspell and objection. Mage just has the best toolbox for keeping their titan around

Not sure of the meta but I'd probably run that warrior titan in a control warrior (assuming that's still a thing). It's got card draw, medium minion clearing potential, and gives you some swings & armor. Is it a instant win the game kind of card, nah, but it'll definitely see play in a slower control warrior

Sargeras being a twisting nether plus 6/12 without triggering deathrattles in good or if you are already ahead on board you can have a 6/12 with two 3/4 with taunt or 6/12 + 2 6/6 + 2 3/2

To do what basically? Sit there and don't be a threat for 2 turns, because IT can't attack heroes? It's a good Control card If the enemy only plays a few strong minions or If you are ahead on board anyways but If you are ahead on board as control Warrior you won anyways. So it's Kind of a win more Card in Control and kind of whatever in Aggro i assume.

But yeah, definitely a control-style card, which imo makes it the least likely to be competitively played since control warrior might not be a thing.

Some aren't even playable together without mana cheat and others are waay too slow, the only combo that can work is druid one with refreshing mana crystals and it's not even that good because if you are low on health you will most probably heal first and the draw is whatever but idk if it's good to waste a card slot on a 4 mana 2/6 do nothing

Voltron Prime will be in every rogue deck, it's super easy to activate and more likely to get off at least 2 abilities than the other Titans, it has no bell and whistles but it has consistency....boring doesn't equal bad.

I have a feeling the mage one will actually be very very strong Mage has a lot of copying and mana cheat shenanigans going on, and due to the way these dudes are supposed to work, you could essentially play him, use an ability, copy him and use a 2x ability then copy that one and use a 4x (20 damage) ability all in 1 turn. I also think that the paladin won't fit in that well and the DH one just LOOKS very strong but since DHs typically don't lack for LS, rush and tokens won't really be played all that much Voltron and Khazgoroth are dead on arrival tho imo

As a warlock main and a control lover Sargeras a my dream card (almost - Blizzard stop with the fuking IMPs, make the portal summon 4/3 wrathguards or fellhounds and lower the invasion buff to +1 health, i mean for a 9 mana card it should summon stronger minions than 3/2 and also its fuking Sargeras). Also if they give warlock the tools to play the slow control game and actually live to play the late game etc. similar to what Blood DK and Priest are able to do, there are 2 big things going for sargeras, the obvious is Symphony, you have a 43% chance to get the symphony of Greed and get sargeras for 3 mana, which obviously is insane, but also Doomkin (here me out) - on the play you play Doomkin on 6 next turn you have 8 mana but more importantly your opponent has 5 mana not 6 and after your 9 mana turn they will have 7 mana which means you get to play sargeras into an opponent who has 7 crystals which for many classes might be hard to deal with the whole Sargeras board, since you get your 8 mana turn after their 6 mana turn and you can nether/Gigafin and right before sargeras. On the draw you coin Doomkin out on 5 so after their 5 mana turn and their next turn is gonna be another 5 mana turn which is much less explosive than a 6 mana turn and you get a 7 mana turn so now your gonna play sargeras again after their 7 mana turn which might seem that it does not matter as much but it means if you play against like DK you play sargeras right after their morgrain and you can start racing or play sargeras right after opponents titant as most are 6/7 mana and you immediately poof it. Now Doomkin is not great but if warlock gets the tools to survive into the long game and not be at 5 HP on turn 5 it might not be as bad to play a bad tempo minion like Doomkin in order to get ahead on mana and be able to start pressuring your opponent with sargeras and regain all the tempo you might have lost earlier.

Warlock and DK are S tier. DK steals hp and gains it on itself also making it super hard to kill and will likely survive many turns.

People really underrate the Warrior Titan, it's a solid A tier card. Will it be meta defining? not really, will it be in 95-100% of warrior decks? yes it will. Really depends on how strong warrior is. If you just see how viable a titan is for their class, aka run%, warrior is unconstested S tier, next to druid maybe priest.

Disclaimer: I'm not very good at the game. Sargeras gives me win more feelings, he'd be nuts when dropped against an aggro deck, but if you're playing a slow enough deck to drop sargeras at 9 mana maybe you've already won against aggro decks anyways? Not sure maybe the game is slower than I imagine. Against a control or combo deck I don't know if swarming with imps at that point will be super useful.

back in the day there was a paladin card that set the attack and health of all other minion to 3/3 with taunt and it was super strong, Amitus' pacified ability is the same but sronger, so I guess it's strong

To be fair, part of the good of Sunkeeper was that it also changed your own minions to 3/3s, so you could trade a couple recruits into your opponent’s two big minions

@@rickhaavisto9023 that and the fact it also had 3 damages (meaning the opponent would need to sacrifice 3 minions in its face to kill it) I know but Amitus have more defense value thanks to her effect of reducing damage taken by minions (and paladin doesn't lack of buff to give her the damages she need to kill any 2/2 that would hit her)
