It's worth mentioning that the Perry chasseurs box can also be built as hussars on campaign, in Kinski tunics,. So lots of painting options besides chasseur green!

For your commander, repair the horse leg with a sleeve of greenstuff

I gotta say, I’ve never wanted to not paint a model more than I didn’t want to paint Warlord’s Hussars. In general, I agree 100%, Warlords cavalry are definitely a cut below the rest

I agree, got halfway through painting the Warlord lancers and completely lost interest. Compared to Victrix which are so enjoyable to paint.

Its always been fascinating to me the level of detail and decor and the Craftsmanship required to produce uniforms during the Napoleonic period.

The only thing I miss is horses at the trot, which funny enough is how French cavalry would charge and actually beat most enemies!

One can also use the Chasseurs-a-Cheval of the Guard in Spain in 1810 as well.

The Airfix Hussar was the opposite, the rider all geared up for a charge and the horse, just at a gentle trot.
@NapoleonicWargamingАй бұрын
@@williamarthur4801 haha, the hussar was more keen to get stuck on than the horse!
@dinoknight6538Ай бұрын
Thing with Warlord cavalry is that the rider's legs tend to be far to far out and end up bumping into each other if you have 2 on a base

I'm planning on doing "ITV Sharpe Sim" so I got the Chausseurs (bottom of the list!) for those fellas that take the King's colours in Sharpe's Eagle

32:40 not eveyone uses 12 figures for a regiment - the Chasseurs of the Guard were something like 1000 men strong, that would be 32 figures in my rules!

That metal command is the worst figure in all wargaming history. I grabbed a spare Perrys Horse( 14 ) and dropped the rider on that. With The Warlord Lancers I chopped the hand and reset the Lance Alignment to Vertical. I got a whole lot of Transformed warlord/Perry horses and cheval , lancers and Hussars spares into mock up of some Russian Cavalry before any kits came out . Made the lengthy saddle blankets with GreenStuff

I really dislike warlords horses. Also the salddelry is off and the girth is dangourusly far back for the horse. It is not a problem whit victrix and perry models
