Very informative video. When you own a stock in a company, you have a claim to the company's assets. This video breaks down what it means to own these assets, whether it be 1) the owing of money to someone else as a result of holding these assets; 2) the extent to which you could (but not necessarily) earn more by acquiring these assets; 3) how long it takes for cash to flow into the business as a result of holding these particular assets; and 4) the likelihood of suffering a reduction in capital as a result of operating the business with the assets you have. Would like to see a video geared towards ETFs and how everyday investors can conceptualize what it means to own a part of a market, as I don't quite understand this myself.
