Wow. Once again an awesome episode. Loved the insight from humbitious about a leaders chance to appreciate his employees in every interaction, as it is the most important desire of every human. Neil has a good energy and I now have to research his book sorting structure. Never heard about it :D The part about regret resonated with me and once again you set us up for a better and more rational way to think. Thanks alot

An episode or segment about how wars affect the market would be a good idea in the moment...

Not sure if this is a good place to ask a question but during your emerging market discussion could you consider: Should 'geographic ETFs' (like MSCI India/China fund for example) count as 'thematic ETFs'? Do they share the same characteristics?
@MichaelSaull2 жыл бұрын
No generally geographic ETFs would not share the same characteristics as thematic as long as they serve to increase the diversification of your portfolio. They would fall into your international/developed/emerging markets allocation of your portfolio, if however you are choosing a certain country to bias/invest in over the cap weight decided by a broad emerging or developed market fund then you are in a sense reducing the diversification and betting that country or region will do better than the others that you under weighted by choosing it. Thematic on the other hand generally reduces diversification by actively selecting equities that fit the theme. There is no reason to expect one theme or another might outperform the total market.

Is the podcast turning away from personal finance permanently?
@robertwright88442 жыл бұрын
Clearly no. They are portfolio managers, and he said he'll be discussing the possibility of overweighting emerging markets in the near future.
