Continuing with work on the backend of the 1939 Hudson build, I fabricate a rear "bumper" with a compound curve to match the roof line and french in some round tail lights.

Your craftsmanship is unquestionable, but I cannot help noticing how well your videos are produced. Good lighting, good sound, well balanced content. You explain the idea and concept behind the design and then show the key parts of the fabrication with some tricks of the trade and without any boring, unnecessary details. It's a real pleasure watching your channel.

You always put out a GREAT Video, Diff! I enjoy designing and building more than driving them. Anyone can order parts from a catalog, but I would rather build every part if at all possible. I'm 75 now and have been building hot rods since I was 14, I love the process!

Nice work. The knife is from Mora in Sweden, the name of the company is Frost. In Sweden it's called Mora kniv. Everyone in Sweden have at least one.

The curve in the bumper was one labor intensive detail ! A truly impressive design addition ! The amount of work that went in to the bumper is mind blowing ! You make it look quick and easy on camera , but those of us who fabricate have a great appreciation for the hours spent and creativity . Good Job !

I totally agree that curves makes a car beautiful, which is why I like the look of my 1st gen Audi TT so much. Excellent job on designing and fabricating the bumper, it compliments the rest of the build really well.

With the amount of work and design put into all of the details you can’t call it a rat truck because it truly is a full blown kustom. Great fabrication, I love it. Cheers!!

Hey Div, When you first suggested a curve in the bumper I thought you had lost your mind ! But WOW ! The finished product looks fantastic ! Those faceted smaller lights look like they were made for the rear of a chopper , ( Motorcycle ). Work Safe, Be Well Enjoy Life

Brilliant thinking Div that is a well engineered rat rod, If you made a tailgate you could fit the fuel tank under the bed line at the back behind the tailgate and under the floor

Hey Jared. My accent is a bit messed up🙂 I grew up in a farming community with Afrikaans as my mother tongue. Then I went traveling as a young man and lived in many different places for long times. Brazil, Caribbean, USA to name a few
