This song has a deep meaning They were badly inlove to each other but they cannot express it maybe because they were shy, just look at how they secretly stares to each other "sometimes I think till it hurts turning my feelings into words, oh I just want to make you smile" but because their love wins, the destiny truly find ways just to make their love possible that they needed to make this vibe be heard that everybody could use their smiles, that everybody could share their smiles. In the second verse, it is where we understand their point of views that the women felt so down that makes her feel fond of the dirt and still learning how to walk in mile. The man is busy cleaning stuffs and he was thinking that he should seperate from other people because he has no purpose "if i should stray from the herd, i'll be adrift from the earth" but because of the smile by the women his sadness turns into happiness which makes them decide to come closer to each other, to share their beautiful smile to each other and share laughters to each other. They started to dance on the dancefloor with a wide smile in their faces. They were happily dancing without thinking what people will say and as time passes Phum enters the room as security guard and left big smile because he witnessed the true meaning of love. "Don't let the world change your smile, let your smile change the world" Softly spoken means madly inlove but lowkey :]] This is just my personal interpretation, no hate just love. Btw did you notice that in 20's Phum is actually there wearing a security guard's uniform. He's walking and holding a flashlight🖤

This song and video has made me really rethink of Asian influence in America.
