On your comment of it never being possible to use in a game; one of my friends bought one of these and painted it up and created some rules for it so we could fight against it. He ruled the turret as being a two gun battery for bombardment purposes and ruled that while the turret could be destroyed and the vehicle tracked (bailed, but still able to fire), it could only be destroyed with infantry assaults. It took two 2000 point lists to kill it!

I love this tank. I know some firms make this model but I'm trying to get a Scottish firm to make 1 in 1/285 scale (I've already made 3) For the record it used a turret from a Prinz Oegen cruiser and a spare turret still exists I think in Norway. It also had its own infirmary and a built in garage with a pair of motorcycle combinations

may i ask, where did you get it? from forged in battle site itself or some otherwere? i live in sweden and to get things like these are very hard, not even the retailers will get it for you. so i would really like to know where you got it.

I ordered directly from Forged in Battle. I don't think there's a retailer in Australia that carries these either. Even if there were ordering direct is probably cheaper.

+Hugo Olsson The Third Reich designed it and built one turret before the project was canned. The turret was used as an emplacement instead if I remember right.

+ColCaffran I think they actually intended to use one of the turrets from the Gneisenau. I know one of those was used as an emplacement.
