@bro4orce1 This is amazing and I’m happy you’ve discovered them. Be carful as Oasis are a gateway to other music such as The Stone Roses, TheJam, The Smiths and much much more /s. Slade are also another band that I feel don’t get enough credit. Listen to a song by Slade called ‘How does it feel’ and you can definitely hear Noels and Liams style in it. I wish Noel would make a cover of it.

Callum We’re on the same wave length mate! You know what I think it is. Bands like Oasis, The Beatles, Slade, have an ability to write upbeat music with grit in the lyrics. John & Paul is a great example of this. Paul was an optimistic and John a pessimist. Getting Better off the Sgt Pepper album for me sounds like a conversation between them both where Paul’s like’ “come on man, cheer up” and John like, “what for”?

Oasis do/have/& I assume always will, make me feel things nobody & no thing makes me feel. To some, they're simple lads from near Manchester. To me, they're the soundtrack of my life, I support them like a football team & they are 'my' band. Since the announcement of the reunion, I've seen lots of jokes & mock videos of people singing Oasis songs, mimicking Liam - I unashamedly do that stuff on a daily basis & have done for the last 20 odd years! My kids know, word for word, pretty much every Oasis song. Rational logic says Liam is essentially playing Oasis gigs anyway, he just doesn't have Noel playing guitar next to him. But to see them back together goes above & beyond rational logic, it just means a lot & it would be monumental.

America doesn't like anything that is too *Brit-centric!* Another amazing English band - *The Jam* were victims of that! Deep Heat your opinion, but MANY would disagree. Yes they were Noel’s songs but you even see to this day he doesn’t perform them half as good. Hence the reason he doesn’t sing oasis songs no more. Noel is a genius but liam is the best front man in my generation and he will be hard to beat. What we all can agree on is oasis changed many many peoples lives mine included. First time I seen them was when I was about 16 I’m now 33 and still listen to them every single day of my life and that includes Liam’s solo stuff, because that’s genius as well.

@@pup1008 Liam's snarling voice and swagger carried the songs through the 90s and early 2000s - Oasis was the brothers, nothing less.
