Cool video man, def agree with you about the yellow ones they always seem like they’re more aggressive for whatever reason. Thanks for taking us out!

Hey man, snake enthusiast here! First off, I appreciate the respect with which you treat these timbers. We need more outdoorsmen like you in the world! Just a piece of advice: in the thumbnail I see you're holding the yellow timber with snake tongs. It seems like your grip might be a bit tight. Snakes in general actually have pretty delicate ribs that can break easily and damage internal organs if they're grabbed too hard by tongs. In the future, maybe try to grab them a bit more loosely to ensure that those snakes stay healthy and end up reaching their full size. That way they can reproduce and maintain future generations that get up to harvesting size. Also, just an interesting conservation fact: it takes timbers about 4 years to reach sexual maturity and they only breed every 2-4 years, so that's why it's important to protect smaller timbers. If they can't reproduce, then there won't be enough snakes for harvests in the future. Again, great video, and you've got my respect for your treatment and attitude towards the snakes in this video!

I agree. Some idiot trying to get yt hits while harming wild animals makes me want to smack him around. The guy in this video. With the red shirt. I want to say that he has a very punchable face

Don't hold the snake with those tongs In the upper part near the neck ,hold it in the middle, you'll have better grip and won't snap its neck, its really bad to hold them up in the air and you'll have better grip and control holding in middle of body
@mikefisher43233 жыл бұрын
Mid body is best. Near head can cause damage if they thrash. Near tail can break rattles.

The best thing to do is not hurt them. If you hurt them I might be inclined to want to supposedly, in theory, hypothetically hurt you as well. You hang a dead animal on your wall that you did not kill for food? Disgustingly cowardly. I live down in Dauphin County and we got plenty of rattlers here in Halifax and Clark's Valley and even Williamstown and Tower City area. Come find me
