Rattlesnake Ledge Sunrise Hike / popular WA hike

Good to be up early before all those people. Loved how there are a couple different vantage points with those amazing views . Surprised there wasn’t snow up that high !!

I think it was because this hike is more exposed to the sun and is actually at a lower elevation than most of the mountain peaks around I-90. If you go further past the upper rattlesnake ledge towards East Peak, the trail was snow covered pretty quickly.

Rattlesnake lake recreation area unfortunately is a day use area only, but there are some nearby campgrounds. Middle Fork Campground and Iron Horse State Park have campgrounds that you can check out :) I hope this helps!

What day was the hike and what time did everyone make it to the ledge?

We did this last April 17, Saturday and we started hiking just a little past 5am. Sunrise was around 6:20am and we got there with plenty of time to find a perfect spot to lounge about. It is only about 2.5 miles to get to the 1st ledge and this is a relatively easy hike up
