QUien dijo que un tenor que canta Rossini no debia tener color y pelotas en la voz? Es agradable escuchar un sonido que baja al cuerpo y no se queda caprinito en la cabeza. BRAVO!!!!!!!!!

I saw him this nigth at the Grand Houston Opera, he was supeb!!!! a great "squillo" sound (I came from Alfredo Kraus master class in Santander, and thougth that Giménez had the same kind of voice as don Alfredo). His sound is still in my ears; thanks for sharing this divine material (never got to contact maestro Giménez, but bougth the VHS of this after words in NY). BRAVOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

gimenez had one of the most beautiful leggiero rossini voices of the last quarter century or so. he is still around and sings basilio and tito mostly now. too bad he doesn't come back to the met more often.

I heard him sing. I say that he is the best prince I ever heard. He was my fourth his voice flew through the theater and was beautiful. Pay attention that every gesture gave away that he is actually the prince. Raul Gimenez BRAVO!!!

Very impressive control over the whole of his range. Florez will always be my favourite, but as a lower-voiced tenor, Gimenez is extremely good :)

He was wonderful in this production and so was Cecilia Bartoli. I don't know why this opera doesn't get performed more often. Perhaps because Cinderella is supposed to be a Coloratura Contralto...a rare voice type indeed.

Raul Gimenez best bel canto singer for my taste. I hear live many great singers including Merrit, Ford, Kunde , Florez e.t.c. but Gimenez`s voice much much stronger and really flexible.
