WOW Great project and video Jason, and those shoe boxes are really big! There's a lot of plywood left over there, must be cheap in the states as over here its expensive for one sheet. Cheers. Barry from England.
@DesignBuildExecute9 жыл бұрын
Barry Roberts Thanks! Actually, I designed the layout in CAD to fit all of the parts on a single 4'x8' birch plywood sheet. I used 3/4" for these. The only part that I couldn't get from the sheet was the drawer bottom. That was 1/2" birch plywood. 3/4" Birch sheets run in the $50-60 range here in the states.

What's the point in all of you making these videos purposely not sharing any info about them. Some of us can look at a board and know what size it is but that's not the point. The point is is you want to show off what you're doing you just don't want to share how you're doing it to be replicated. I understand that on a business level but if you're going to share then share otherwise you're doing nothing but wasting time for people that actually want to do it not look at it and say cool. I don't know why the hell anybody would be here just to say that and not try to learn something. Of course, we live in the age of learning is obsolete

Thanks! I was wondering who was going to watch until the very end and comment on that! To make it worse, to get it out I have to unclamp the dust collection hose to get to it.
@BradleyMakesThings9 жыл бұрын
Definitely know that pain! Only on my saw, because of how they made the dust shroud around the brad, I've had to take off a while dado stack and snake my hand down in there. No fun! Suuuuuuper careful when I do blade changes now.

Great video dude and I like how your version used less screws to construct the overall box. Also, for the lid/cover, I was hoping to see you make it with dove tail joint instead of using screws...it would have been more time consuming for sure but something about making joints without screws and nails is very cool. =)

Is there anyway I could do this without having direct access to the tools like is there any shop classes I could go do this locally this would be dope
@DesignBuildExecute3 жыл бұрын
I think with some careful planning and going slow this could be done with a circular saw, jig saw and maybe a router. The rest of the tools are a basic drill and impact driver. Of course, the screws could be installed with a regular screwdriver.
