RAV4 5th gen 2019 2022 rear seat removal 4K

Short video showing rear seat removal on 5th gen (2019-2022) Toyota RAV4 non hybrid. Very easy to do. Mine had a broken tab so I included the part number in case anyone else needs it.

Super helpful! My friend spilled a full thermos of coffee and grounds on my rear seat. The grounds went into every nook and cranny of the car. Needed this video to figure out how to remove the seat to vacuum all the grounds up 😅

Thanks for this video. Yours is the only video so far to mention the push/pull tabs. I'm struggling to remove my seats using just force and now I know why. Unfortunately I can't identify where the push/pull tab is or which way I should be pushing or pulling while lifting. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Grab at the corner as shown, pull straight up. It can take a bit of strength to do.

​@@DoItTogether2022 Finally got it!! Took a lot more force than I thought. The real trick is pulling straight up, which for someone like me who doesn't lift, took some odd positioning inside of the car and use of leg strength. Thanks again!

i'm afraid to damage anything is that a sensitive area seems pretty easy need to install seat covers .

Does the seat back now lay down flatter with the base removed? I took the base out of my 99 4runner years ago for the extra flat load space and would like to do something similar here

I didn’t lay the seat backs down, this was initially done to install a seat cover. I’ve done it a few times to install wiring for a subwoofer as well. I don’t recall laying the seat backs down however, sorry.

You have to pull up, like towards the roof. The indentation is just so you can get a grip.

You are not showing exactly where the camera needs to be depressed a magic button that list the darn thing

There is no button. Feel for a small indentation near the corner. Then pull upwards. It’s a clip. No button. Or just get a grip wherever you can and pull towards the roof.
