This is lovely. I don't have more than a couple of chalk pencils in my arsenal. Would it be possible to use pan pastels for the shading?

Hi Barbara, Thanks for your comment. Sorry I'm just getting back to you. You may have discovered in the meantime that the pan pastels will work well on the shading. I love them! Have fun experimenting.

Tanglepatterns.com doesnt have the step outs for this pattern. It just has a clip of Zentangle inc doing the tangle on youtube. Im finding step puts to be helpful.

Jessica, I know it's frustrating when Tanglepatterns.com doesn't have a stepout but not everyone submits to them. I often find the patterns by googling the name of the pattern with Zentangle Stepout, for example, Ravel Zentangle Stepout. I found a stepout there.
