Them being kids, they don't really understand that, but, they also find a positive to the situation. What if Rachel was suddenly left without her magic, or Garfield without his Shapeshifting? They need to know how to fight in every way that matters. Considering Jason is an almost expert on hand to hand combat, they figured they'd learn from him, though Dick would be the optimal choice, what with stronger emotional connection if Raven were to glitch out again, and he can read signs well enough to know when to stop.

Physical training has advantages even for someone who doesn't rely on physical strength. It's good for stamina and endurance purposes. Regardless of what type of energy they use (like magic, telekinetic stuff, etc) they will be physically tired after a fight, so by conditioning their bodies the old fashioned way they can stay in a fight longer or be less exhausted.

I think her powers are pretty cool looking aside from the gooey venom symbiote sound they make. It would be nice to see her soul self actually appear as a raven as well, idk if their cgi budget can do that though. Hopefully the dceu will do a titans movie that will actually do the titans justice. rewatching s1 and s2 raven scenes cuz s3 tossed her aside. yes it TITANS as in ALL the titans, but she's way more powerful than most of them, her powers have a wow factor to them , a chilling thrill and i feel like she can do so much more with them but yet 3/4 of the season she was missing on some island and popped back in the end with the most minimal reaction from her friends, even from Gar. Also was hoping Gar and Ravens relationship would keep being worked on and expanding but he literally wakes up dazed and half-arsedly says "..Rachel?" then proceeds to talk about the plan like she wasn't gone for months . Idk , personally she is necessary to the main plot of the series and this season she was a side character or even as little as a cameo.

At first I thought the black energy that comes off her when she uses her powers. When it leaves her to attack the guy I thought it was her losing control and trigon taking over (because in the forehead chakra stone he can contact her in some versions) but then I realised it’s literally her soul self leaving her body and working as a separate being still connected to her but taking on its own form to carry out actions. Because when she goes god mode in the comics/animated stuff it appears as a black winged figure (if not a complete bird) and in Titans it comes out as almost like an evaporating set of wings. That’s actually cooler than the shadow of the Raven she gets in the animated stuff. Because I feel like in live action making the being look more fluid is a smart choice because as a sharp bird like figure would be very difficult to make convincing imo

I get people were really “meh” about the trailer for season 1 and don’t get me wrong. I was skeptical when they tried to make her like 11 from stranger things. And the first wig they gave her was....bad. But when you actually watch the show it’s clear they weren’t trying to “11ise” her and they just wanted to make a live action origin story and as her story arcs went on she proved herself as a really cool character and I like how they made her more snarky and moody in season 2 like they really made her into the raven we know from the comics and the other shows. But the best look is the lighter blue wig with the red eyes. I didn’t understand why they gave her black vampire diaries eyes at first. I get she was still Rachel like she hadn’t become the raven yet. Like she didn’t have the gem and that easily explained it. But I think the season 2 look is the most accurate Raven look by far on this whole show and given hbo is giving characters more badass comic accurate costumes I’m interested to see where they take this look. The one thing about Titans that I don’t love is how they’re tryna set up a romance between her and beast boy. Like she was 13 when this show started filming in he was in his 20s that just didn’t sit right I know that like bbrae is a thing in the shows. But that was animated and the voice actors were adults. I mean if this show lasts another few years she’ll be an adult and it’ll be ok. But it’ll still be weird because this has been set up since she was playing her as a kid

It’s like with starfire they portrayed her powers as just fire and played it off as she draws her powers from the sun when it’s ultraviolet energy she uses and they made her out to be weaker at night and she’s not even saw flying when in the comics that a main way she fights

Why are everybody complaining about her being weak? There's been like just 3 seasons and she is barely appearing on the third one They are trying to give Raven a fucking development. I think they're trying to emulate what MCU did to Wanda. There's been a lot of complaints about her being nerfed down just until recently. They're trying to develop their characters.

Rachel is her human and original name. In dc titans she didn't become a hero yet. I think she might when new episodes come but what I was saying rachel roth is her human name and raven is the hero name. She was born on Earth not Azarath

Looking at Raven’s powers, it look almost like symbiotes well you know it’s because of the CGI affect.
