Rewatching this is always great and fun and i definitely pay attention more to what is said but now i have to know was it ever confirmed if Anna and Aleera knew each other before she was turned? Was it like a nod to the bond Lucy and Mina shared? (Because i won't lie i love that thought and its respect to Coppola and the other monster classics that came before~) but i am curious if they did know each other before Aleera's second life as a vampire (and yeah i also caught that "past life" question from Anna) i mean if Aleera did know her then it can also explain how and why Verona spoke to her so familiarly and it would be a doubly clever move on Dracula's part if he wanted some way to get close to Anna and have some insight on her. Who better than a former friend? But yeah I'd really wanna know that too
