Thanks for this Chris! It takes a bit more work than one would think. Nice to see them all tucked up safely for the night :)

They’re so smart! They’re like kids I swear :) A thousand years of history. Wow! Some day I’ll get there! I’m in the US in Massachusetts We’ve only celebrated 250 years and that’s nothing compared to British history .

It's so amazing if animals know you are a good person and you speak nicely to them and are patient they respond so well.

Really enjoyable video! Read your book about how you put the ravens to bed, but it is nice seeing a part of your daily schedule with the ravens on video.

How smart they are! To know which house is theirs! How wonderful! I found your channel after having a pair of ravens in my garden. I want to make them my friends! Any tips? ❤I’m so glad I found your channel, love from across the big pond from Rhode Island, USA!

I always thought there was a big tower and at the top there were raven enclosures, like an attic, with straw nests, and there was a trapdoor where you would climb up on a ladder and throw mice/corn onto the floor from the story underneath. There would be a big window on the side where the ravens could enter/exit, and it could be opened/shut by the ravens (on both sides) so they could keep in warmth during winter. The ravens wouldnt have individual pens, but rather "cubicles" where nests were, wich allowed privacy, but still left easy acess to the outside. In winter there would be a filament bulb to heat the pens up to 10 degrees (celcius) The room would be circular (8-12 sides), with the cubicles around the edges, and windows-doors on two sides. The cubicle doors would face clockwise, so a raven exiting a cubicle would turn right to reach the common space, and the trapdoor in the middle. There would be a 3rd of a meter ledge (1 foot), and an awning over it so the ravens can sit outside in the rain and not get wet. Feeding would probably take place just after 5,6 or 7 so that curch bells can signal "Dinnertime!" There are probably holes in this idea but I think it is potentially viable.

I like the idea of keeping a country safe through someone taking care of birds rather than virgins taking care of a fire.

Loved your book, enjoyed seeing the Ravens in June 2019, I've never seen the Crown Jewels. I prefer the Ravens and Anne Boleyn.

I love them! You seem to really know them. If I ever visit the UK I'm definitely going to go to London to see the Ravens. Can tourists feed them? Do you allow them to hatch eggs?
@lisakaz353 жыл бұрын
A few have bred there. Tourists don't seem to have to try to feed them. Seems a few cheeky ones will steal your crisps. The Raven Master does give them their daily meals but they still seek out junk food.

Do their rooms have solid roofs so other birds flying over cannot contaminate their rooms?

I don't know the answer. But I live on the island myself. And I would hazard a guess, that it is because of our random weather patterns.
