It still works! I don’t know how, but I managed to get two, and immediately searched for videos to understand what happened. Idk if I manage to break something, but for me, photomode isn’t needed. Though I have no idea the steps on how. I was just courting and rejecting wolves to find a good stat pair up for mine (bc she’s -2 on health and Stam and I need a good stat mate lmao) The last I tried to reject wouldnt actually let me reject/end the mate trial, and a previous wolf I had rejected had came back from nowhere apparently and also became my mate again. It’s cool, but with the new patch and me somehow breaking it, so far I’m unable to end any mate trials :,) So it might still be possible unless I got lucky, but the new drawback is that you can’t end the mate trial. Your stuck with the two you get.

In the final version of the game you’ll be able to build your pack up over the years. Some of your older pups will stick around, just like in a real wolf pack.

​​@@Raven-Questhis really isn't a glitch that needs a fix. I like to think of it as recruiting new wolves for your pack in the early stages, But of course that may not be fully accurate to wolves in Yellowstone.

Man I wish I knew this glitch a while back- I was playing as a wolf who befriended two dispersals, and I liked to imagine the two dispersals were best friends since puphood. Until ultimately one chose love and the other had to move on all alone. I wish he could have came with us but I know how the game is haha ❤

I remember this same glitched happened when they added finding dispersals in the packs! It was crazy! I got to 5 or 6 mates! (in Anymthist) I never tried raising pups in Slough Creek though ^^

The only difference was when you left your current mate, it would stay and act like a regular mate. But you could go get another, and the current one would have the nametag

Do these multiple extra mates help with things like Hunting elk, protecting territory? And can they follow you to the pup-episode into spring? Or do you have to start over? And during the pup stages do the extra mates fight predators? maintain the territory hexes? Hunt? Or do they just follow you

Yes, they do Help with Hunting, Protecting and Feeding Pups, Mine haven't gone all over the Map to Mark, but they do Howl a lot which keeps the Hexes Full, most of the Time. They can't travel from Amethyst Mountain to Slough Creek, but you can have Pups with them in Slough Creek if you find a Mate in Amethyst Mountain, travel to Slough Creek, then kill the Mate Before or After the Pups are Born and then Find the Dispersals. You can also have Pups with them in Lost River DLC, where they Stay with you and Help you raise the Pups until they Grow Up.(The Extra Mates will Disappear if Leave the Game or Load a Save). Hey Everyone! A few more !Important! Details: I cannot guarantee you'll get this many and you won't have issues, on wolf quest Wiki it says "The results of this exploit are chaotic so a decent modern computer is recommended to better cope with the added workload!", I'm using Steam and I don't know if works anywhere else and lastly it took a Long, Long Time to get this many, it's a pretty hard glitch if you want to do it with so many wolves.This video was filmed on the Newest Patch Available at the time of posting this Video and was Tested 1 Hour ago. The Glitch has been half way fixed and no longer works with 2 wolves( in my experience, I've tried multiple times and it hasn't worked for me, Let me know if it still works for you). So many wolves, it would make the game so easy! I’m a new player and I was wondering how I could protect my pups better. Attacks are starting to get really frequent and I already lost one out of six pups. Most of the pups are 10+ pounds and come out of the den a lot when there is a fight going on and it’s really annoying. My territory is 15-16 hexes and it’s above 80% most of the time.

I mostly play the game using Glitches so I don't know much about normal gameplay, but if you quickly press the Woof button and for example the Tail Wag one right after another, the Pups are more likely to go in den during Predator attacks and keeping the affinity bar(Blue)full will ensure they stay in the den longer, to decrease the likelihood of rival Wolf Packs attacking the Pups, you should have a buffer with 2 lines of Hexes around your den, growling and other such emotes help scare off predators during fights. If your starting out, you can play on Easy difficulty, so the Pups are less likely to Die and Predator attacks are easier to deal with, but if you wanna play the game with Glitches you can get a Army of Mates to protect you and your pups, with an Army of Mates you don't even need a Territory, everything that sees you runs off and if you really don't wanna deal with Predators, Territory and Dens, you can get a Army of Mates and go live in Floppy's enclosure. Interact with your pups if your pack affinity it’s low! That could be a problem, only have your pups out if your staying with them. Woof your pups inside the den or tall grass they can hide till you come back from hunting or defending of problems, but most importantly do interact with your pups it helps with the pack affinity and they will stay inside the den or the place their hidden. :) I recommend also getting more territory, sometimes prey doesn’t spawn in your territory and does in other territories plus it can be also a huge help for being safe and not getting jump by other pack wolves, still always keep your main territory above 50% or more. If your always out in a hunt or searching for food don’t forget to drop by and remark your territory that’s what I always do and I have no problems!

The Key is to get them to roll over One after Another, when one starts rolling over go to the second and when the second one starts rolling over go to the third and then go in photo mode, Example 1 on part: 1:50 in the video (the numbers above the Wolves represent the order in which they need to roll over for the glitch to work best), Example 2 on part: 4:04 in the video shows how to align them in the right order so each Wolf starts to roll over One after Another. if they All roll over at the exact time, the Glitch won't work. Hope this helps :)

Hello, thank you so much for making this tutorial! I’ve seen seeing these videos of yours and always wondered how to do it, and thought it was completely patched. A few questions, because I’m getting stuck on some parts. How do you get all three wolves to follow you? I have their hearts up but only one follows and the other two stay back. The other concern is that when I’m in photo mode, the D-key doesn’t work to move through the time. Any way you can help?

Sometimes the Hearts look full, but their not completely full, the easiest way to tell if their Heart is full is when they start to follow you. Did you try spamming the right Arrow Key while in Photo Mode?

Also my hearts are on the very edge of being full, but I don't want to get them too full or it might end the courtship and give me only one trial mate. And when the wolves do approach me, they don't roll over; instead they use other emotes.

The easiest way to get rid of a mate is to growl 3 times then reject them or kill them, but if you have 3 or more mates and wanna get rid of only the one with the nametag it can be tricky rejecting them with growling.

The number of mates you get depends on the number you court and whether or not you reject the one with the nametag before finishing the trial period.

You can have Pups with them, they will help out with everything the Pups need same as a normal mate would. The game won't crash, but you can't save it because the extra Mates would disappear and they can't travel from Amethyst Mountain to Slough Creek. Hope this helps:)

Yes, when your Mate dies in Slough Creek you can find more Mates and raise the Pups with them, they will help with feeding, protecting, hunting, exc... Everything a normal Mate would do, but unfortunately you can't save the game with them because all the Mates except the one with the Nametag will disappear.

The mates can't transfer to Slough Creek, but you can kill your mate in Slough Creek and then do the glitch so you have pups with the mates, unfortunately you can't have more than 7 pups because only 1 mate is official. Hope this helps :)

How can you get rid of the Mate with the Nametag ?.

You can starve, kill them with bison, growl 3 times (but that can be tricky and you could end up rejecting the wrong mate) or you can hunt with them until you get the "do you want this wolf to become your mate?" notification, then click "extend trial" for the first notification and except the rest, after that just growl 3 times and reject the mate with the nametag so you can continue looking for more.

I usually kill them with Bisson but you could Growl at them three times, it can be tricky sometimes and you could accidently end up rejecting the wrong one, but these are the fastest ways I think.

Example: you have 2 Mates and this Notification appears, for the first Notification click Extend Trial and for the Second one click Yes to Accept them, once you complete this, growl 3 times to Reject the Wolf with the Nametag.

To get the Mates in Slough Creek you need to find a Mate in Amethyst Mountain, then Travel to Slough Creek, kill the Mate and then look for more Mates, but unfortunately you can't save the game because all Mates except for the one with Nametag will disappear. Hope this helps :)

Unfortunately only the wolf with the nametag will be saved, all other mates will disappear when loading a save.

The extra mates can't transfer from Amethyst Mountain to Slough Creek, but you can kill your mate in Slough Creek and then do the mate glitch to have them with pups.

@@janjathehyena9120 The Key is to Court each wolf until their heart is Full and avoid the one's that are following you until all 3 Wolves get Full Hearts, then make sure each Wolf rolls over One after Another and then go in Photo Mode to finish the Glitch.
