Here is my question for you today. I love Crusher matches, he always cracked me. Not just his interviews but his ring work. Such as the new half twist on the Bolo, or checking to make sure his opponent was o.k. I was wondering if there were any documented cases of Crusher making his opponent break character. I thought I once read that an opponent started laughing while being set up for the Bolo, but I never saw it.

But what do you do if the whole MSG is a Mark for that move? I suppose we could go back to watching our Lou Thesz tapes and see Lou submit some unfortunate schlub with a hammer lock. Nothing, my friend, was more real than that. But I prefer my first option. The only sports dilemma similar to this situation was in 1968. The Yankees were a poor 5th place team. It was Mickey Mantles last year. I believe he hit 18 home runs that year. But half of them came in the final few weeks because opposing pitchers started lobbing him softballs. Their job was to strike him out, but they wanted the thrill of telling their grandchildren that they were on the field when the Mick hit his final home run. I was on the field when the man that made Milwaukee famous, made his wind up and sent the fake crusher flying through the air!
