@@RavenElyseTV Yay I've always wanted to do that full theme. Yall could even make handmade large ornaments Gingerbread for your tree using brown felt or clay from it as a video. I can't even wait!! I did do a partial theme one year where on Christmas Morning there was a ton of large felt Gingerbread kids on the tree like they came for Christmas day. You should always do an unexpected surprise in the morning. One year I threw fake snow on the tree that morning like it snowed on the tree overnight. The kids loved it.

i haven't taken any of my christmas decor down yet, because my mother miss christmas due being hospitalized, she had to have surgery, in the process end up having a strock and is in a induced coma, so decide until she come home my decor will stay so she can have her own christmas. i also didn't enjoy my BIRTHDAY which is NEW YEARS DAY, blessed to see another year, just wishes my mother was home.

Keep the boxes as like a time capsule for your different themes! Like this year was the "peppermint" theme. Keep that wrapping paper on, next year wrap over last years paper with next year's paper & so on. I think keeping those 4 or 5 boxes like that would be a cool way to keep a reminder of the different themes & wrapping papers used for memories sake.

LOL! There you are taking down and organizing, and I'm putting up and organizing! I was on bed rest and then physical therapy for most of November and December, so I never got a chance to decorate for Christmas. Now I'm cleaning, putting up my Winter decor, and, dare I say it, my Christmas tree and decor. Since I don't take my Christmas decor down until Candlemas, February 2nd, I've got a bit of time. I'm mainly putting up my tree because it's a new one, with a completely new theme. That way I can take pictures and be set for Christmas 2021. You do an excellent job with your daughter, the way you make her feel that she is of real help. Little ones love to feel that their contributions are important. Congratulations Mom! Your sister is too cute! I don't know how long it would have taken to get your lovely home back in order without her. Happy 2021!

Love how your daughter is so enthusiastic to help eg organize the pantry 😊... It is setting her up for success as an adult in keeping on top of her home... So many kids don't "learn" the valuable life lessons before they leave home. I have 2 boys and they learn to cook, bake, shop, clean, organize maintain the garden, their bikes. When my oldest son turned 15 year old I taught him to clean his bathroom and toilet 🚽.. He was disgusted😂.. Now he appreciates when I do it for him.. He does it every other time. When he turns 16 this year I will teach him how to use the washing machine so he can wash his own clothes and bedding. I live in Germany and the kids are used to "hotel Mama". In my generation, the men (50s) then expect their wives to be substitute mother 🙄... I definitely do not want my boys to be like that... I want them to learn equality and sharing half the home maintenance, which is only fair when both in a couple work.
