I own the R26 and LOVE it!!!!! It is small and mighty!!!! I’ve had it for about four years and just ordered the new strings and servers. There is no signs of wear and tear on the original strings and servers. Do they really need to get changed out at the latest every four or so years?

Great video and nice tips Jim! Wish I could afford a new RAVIN 29, because I do love the fact that they've anchored the scope mounts on both ends rather than the cantilever mount on the R 10's. I just have a hard time spending this much money on a string instrument! Loved the tip about setting your clock to let you know when shooting time has ended!

Thanks. The new Barnett raptor is 405 fps, has a crank, $700, shoots hyper and regular bolts but it is cantilever.

@@BackyardBroadheads I'm leaning towards either a Wicked Ridge De-Cock 410 or perhaps their M-370, since I'm looking for lightweight and moderate price!

Good information Jim. As far as nocks, arrows, strings and cables go…. It’s just a matter of time before Ravin gets taken to court. Nocks, arrows, strings, and cables are all consumable products meaning they wear out or even break. So if someone uses something that is of the same or in most cases BETTER quality than factory I really don’t see how they’re going to have a leg to stand on but time will tell. I too use Archery Shack string and cables and there is a night and day difference in quality, especially with center servings.

Thanks. The hard thing for Ravin is that they can’t control how well the crossbow owners are following the owners manual.

I haven’t even tried that one yet but I’m going to test it on silent right now

Ok I tried it on an iPhone and with the orange switch on silent the alarm still made noise. I had to go back in to set the alarm at scroll down past all of the sound ringtones and pick none so that it will just vibrate in my pocket.
