Super cheap 4G LTE modem with SIMCOM A7670C/A7670E/A7670SA

This video is an introduction to development board we made for SIMCOM A7670C(Asian band), A7670E (European band) and A7670SA (South American band) modules. The board has important pins drawn out to headers which can be used for testing the features of the module. These modules support 4G LTE-CAT1 only. Module supports USB & UART interface for access by AT commands.

Hi, I will be connecting microcontroller to this board through UART. I presume, the controller can communicate with the module using AT commands on UART. Pls confirm. In your video usb channel is used to communicate using AT commands.

Hello Ravi, is there any configuration changed in the new A7670C module. Earlier version it was working with Jio sim. Now the new module is denying network registration.but it's working fine with Airtel sim. Do you know why it's happening?

We don't can't esp code for this. But you can check VALTRACK-V4-VTS-ESP32-C3, it comes with same module and ESP. And firmware is on github

Any normal SIM which you use in phone should work. It supports CAT-1

Each letter indicates what features it has, like analog audio, gnss, Bluetooth. Find it's datasheet. That module is not going away anytime soon

A7670 or A7672 series are Lower cost compared to SIM7600 series. Smaller in size too. H series is for high speed, CAT 4 data. These are CAT 1 modules

@@Gerald-iz7mv You can connect to any MCU using UART lines. Power consumption is different in each modes. You need to refer to datasheet. A7670E/A7672E works in Europe. For USA A7670SA might work but it doesnt have certifications needed for USA, So either use SIM7600NA /SIM7600G for USA, or SIM7070G

1. Yes it is compatible. You can interface by USB or UART. 2. USB mode on windows , 5MBps download, 2 MBps upload on Airtel SIM tested.

Hii Sir currently i am working on Simcom A7670C adiy breakout board. I done 2 programs on that to sent and receive the data these two programs was successfully done using JIO sim. After that i want to sent some data of a sensor to mqtt. For that i changed the sim from JIO to Airtel from then onwards my net light led was not blinking and the module was not able to connect to the network after that i inter changed the Sim's again. And this time for jio sim also it is not taking the signal. And i contacted adiy customer support from there also i didn't get proper response. So please help me in this sir.

did you have a7670e? is a7670e support jio sim for sms and calls , i tried a lot ,but not successfull with jio sim , bsnl is working perfect but jio is not working, since its showing ATREADY, SMS DONE, network connection and all with jio sim , i am not able to send and receive calls and sms, i don't know why ,can you help me

I think it doesn't have VoLTE. It could be the reason and European band module lacks band 40 support which Jio uses
