The beauty of Emery's sketches, for me at least, is that his treatment of queer characters was never derogatory. Clarence (or Andre here!) was always somebody so full of life and joy, always happy and never shying away from their identity. Even here, his character is touching in his presentation of making the bride happy. And in addition, the characterisation was always brilliantly funny.

I absolutely adore Dick Emery he is my all time favourite comedian/comedy actor and Clarence is my all time favourite character he is fabulous and I'm still watching him to this day lot's of love Carol xx ❤
