You’re wrong. Hunter boots have the best insulation. That’s it. Combat boots and Hiking boots are the only boots that have the same sneak and run sound lvl as sneakers, making them the quietest boots in the game. Combat boots have the second lowest durability, high insulation and are the quietest boots in the game. Overall, combat boots are the best and it’s not even a debate. Loud boots can literally get you killed. That slightly better insulation isn’t worth it. Surprised more people didn’t know about the sound lvl of hiking boots and combat boots but more boots for me lol. Just bummed it’s getting out there now cause that means more competition.

when you say "fuck it" on armor sets in RPG games but once you find this video, you start to make notes in your head - this video is awesome dude, nice in-depth (or as in depth as it can get, like, only the absolute hardcore players will probably try to think about what to wear effectively while they are sneaking around or post-firefight when they are filled with adrenaline...) and honestly I would have never imagined that those numbers would vary so much.

On official, the press vest is really the best trade of protection, mobility, and storage. The plate carrier is great, but it really kills your stamina which can easily lead you to an early grave.

Maybe on paper. But wearing a blue vest with big white lettering is a big “shoot me, I’m right here” It stands out in the forests. It stands about against the brown, white, green and yellow buildings, which is most of them.

@@iShaymus I agree it's piss poor camo, but on official movement is more important, also you can wear a ghillie with it and it has pouches so you can still carry gear. The plate carrier is nearly useless on official, you can't climb, jump, or run. On community with infinity stamina, sure it's great.

This is the highest possible protection from attacks in the Game. But the isolation/inventory space and stealth factors got completely ignored despite the fact the armor is so heavy that your stamina bar is basically gone

Unless it's a community server, boosted loot, or a dead server. Considering as well trying to learn how to fix things and loot, crafting and cooking, even if he was looking up videos to help him figure out how to go about it, he's lying that he got all the "best gear" This is a prime example of trying to look cool just for the sake of it. I found the chainmail jacket a bit ago and am now wearing it with my plate carrier and I already had the assault helmet and tactical gloves on with assault boots. With all the guns and shit I'm toting around I was afraid to grab the chainmail pants.

Rate this idea? They should make it to where you can stack clothes on top of clothes for extra protection. However, it makes it to where grabbing anything from your inventory is two times slower

Sorry but as someone as put in over 80 hours and still not built himself a base, I have to doubt this seriously. I always get spawned on the coast, can never miraculously find a bag or a hatchet or any spare food. I always it amazing that KZbinrs like yourself can find exactly everything that is needed for a 3 bedroom base straight away and seemingly infinite amounts of food and weaponry.

@@markwaller4984you’re just looting wrong. I know it sounds weird but there are certain buildings with higher spawns of items you need. Chances are since you are so new your looking in the wrong types of buildings for the items you need. Or your looting the wrong parts of the map for the items you need. As you go further north, the spawns of better items increase and become more common or join the loot pool entirely. I reccomend watching loot guides, studying loot zones and what spawns in them and learning what buildings have higher spawn chances of food, clothes, guns, etc.

@lilscoop__ This is good advice but instead I would say that the furniture from spawns you go the better the loot generally is. Mostly because going north only really works on Chinaris but on the other two maps it’s more going south to get better loot.

Does the game have different item names in different regions? What you call “UK assault vest” is “field vest” in my game, and there is a “assault vest” but it’s the one with buttpack that you didn’t cover

If you follow this you will be the most protected, but will really need it as you will not be able to move very fast and will be very loud lol

Exactly, on official where stamina is a huge factor, as well as stealth, your best to use the stab vest or the press vest, the plate carrier absolutely wipes out your stamina, nothing worse than not being able to climb or jump, or sprint farther than a few steps. I can survive as long as I want to in the game playing solo, all because of stealth and mobility, I have no interest in being a tank and a huge juicy target 😂

I just got the game, I killed myself two times by breaking my legs on purpose when I knew I wasn't gonna make it. My game crashed at one point due to overheating, so after I started fresh for the third time, I looted a church to only get a hat, and then started heading inland, hoping to find Chernogorsk. My personal tips. Insulation is really important in the early game. Avoid large bright clothes/accessories even if they are better. Don't forgot the craftable clothing pieces: Rag clothes, burlap bag, and the leather bag (leather bag OP), ghillie pieces. If it's raining or was just recently raining, don't be afraid to change clothes with ones you find on the ground to avoid the long and lengthy process of wringing out your clothes. Some shoes are louder than others. This could give away your position but it's not likely considering there are other actions that could give you away. You can also just take off your shoes if you're trying to sneak up on someone.

You can always make a torch, lite it and drop it don t move but after you drop the torch start dropping all you wet clothing and backpack shoes and. Helmet and once you drop it all then immediately put it all back on and it will all be completely dry ...... Your welcome

My favourite kit is the combat camo gear because it has a matching mask, plate carrier, bags, jacket and pants When using it with the plate, assault helmet, and army pouch it’s still light enough to vault a fence as long as not hoarding gear. I often run no bag though for better concealment laying down and less weight

Wearing plate carrier and medieval chain armor like in the vid preview is a very shitty idea, never attempt to do that. Wearing chainmail with plate carrier WILL NOT give you any serious extra protection as you expect, instead it will drain your stamina a lot making it harder to maneuver, deprive you the camouflage making it impossible to normaly conseal yourself in any bush or tree and besides all that any action you do when wearing chainmail armor produces a lot of noise, anyone could hear you within 15-20 meters no matter if you're running, crouching or simply changed your stance. Chainmail armor is useless in pvp and brings much more disadvantages rather than advantages. Wearing chainmail pants hypothetically useful because it gives extra protection for your legs making it harder to break, cause getting a leg break during a firefight reduces your chances of surviving by 50% in close quarters and by 95% in open area

Nice video, thank you! But damn, they SERIOUSLY need to add much better armor protection into the game, the last "best" armor was the plate carrier which was added like what, nearly 10 years ago? Whilst they keep adding weapons that can kill you (or knock you out) in 1-2 hits. It's fuqing rtarded. Absolutely no fun in the "end-game" level when so many easy-to-get weapons basically destroys the best armor.

What? There's not SUPPOSED to be any armor in the game that makes you really hard to kill. DayZ is a hrdcore survival game, meaning even a fresh spawn can and should be able to kill fully geared players with the right gear. It makes tactics more important and being safe is just never what DayZ wa about. I would love russian style armor in the game though. It's set in eastern europe so it would make sense

I love the difficulty in the game, but killing players is WAY too easy, but at the same time i love the "feel" & look of the high-tier weapons (LAR, SVD, M4 etc). Either they need to make weapons way less accurate or break much faster. Aiming & shooting is just way too easy (imo)
