Very nice Edoardo, great tool to add to the box. Just gave this a whirl on my D celtic and sounds great, can't wait to try it out on my G Pygmy when it arrives next week(or hopefully arrives next week, heh) . I did figure out that I need to spend more time toughening up my thumbs, much easier to hit some of the notes with a thumb. I was spending too much time on my fingertips, so I needed to work on the thumbs more anyway. Kind of cool how one tip can lead you to another tip that will expand the range of your playing :) Thanks for sharing!

Great! Generally speaking there's not one finger better than another. But it depends on what you are doing, where's located your hand, and what you're gonna use next. Practice and play with at least 3 different fingers (index, thumb, middle) and with time you'll have more control on them

@@EdoardoStrianiHandpanMusic Thanks so much for the advice, I never really used the thumbs at all much before so this is has been a great exercise to get used to it. I'm finding use of thumbs also helps speed up some transitions as there is less distance to travel when moving downward for a thumb strike. This lesson just keeps on giving :)

@@ChiefPoints exactly! That's what I meant: using different fingers speeds up some transitions or patterns

Thank you for sharing this! It was relatively simple to learn and offered a range of options to take the rhythms. I noticed that the notes on my Golden Arcadia RAV did not seem to harmonize with certain other notes as well as the scale that you were playing. Do you happen to know if this is one of the shortcomings of my scale?
@EdoardoStrianiHandpanMusic3 жыл бұрын
It really depends on each scales. Explore yours and find the combinations and progressions that you like the most!

How do you like the golden arcadia overall? That seems like a beautiful scale..
