Hey Nate, great video and really enjoyed the music you played through the cave, very fitting. I can see why not many people know about these caves with how obscure they are and hard to get to. If you ever lost your head lamp inside you would probably never find your way out. You always do a great job narrating your videos, thanks.

It's always good to know people in the right places. :-) It's better to keep it off google maps. Could you imagine all sorts of "tourists" tramping through the jungle, chipping off the stalactites/mites for souvenirs, and writing graffiti on cave walls. Plus, they can hurt themselves rappelling down the cave. Keep it remote and a total adventure.

Very cool. Missing my 10 years in the Philippines that ended in 2019. We used to search for MIA's mostly from WWII. There's a collection of each note made by the guerillas in WWII that my brother & I donated to the War Museum in Tarlac. We used drones on our missions to see where the paths would lead. It made me sad that most Filipinos haven't seen their own country. Whether it be Sagada or the Batanes Islands. I guess it's the same for a lot of countries. Are there any issues w/travel due to COVID restrictions?

If you wanna see another beautiful cave there’s one in Caramoan Bicol, the trail has guava trees, sweet potatoes, and corn farm. There are also carabaos or water buffaloes and rice field along the way. On top of the hill is a big shrine and the local said they have mass every Sunday. It’s a long way hiking and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

Kapampangan and Ilokano are not dialects. They are languages themselves
@marietyoung30673 жыл бұрын
Thanks for clarifying that. :) We grew up being told in school that we have X amount of DIALECTS in the Philippines and the National Language is Filipino. Never was cleared that these are actually regional or indigenous languages. Most Filipinos refer to them as Dialects and there have been misunderstandings on which ones should be classified as language and which one is dialect. Interesting topic I guess for you next video, Nate Hovee! hehehe!
@philph35923 жыл бұрын
I was about to point that out. Languages are distinct that people of different languages cannot understand each other. Dialects are variations of a specific language. In this case, ilocano as a language has different dialects such as ilocos ilocano dialect and pangasinan ilocano dialect. They can understand each other but it has minor differences where a few words are not present on the other dialect. 😁
