The unedited video of this big oak was for the same customer as the two most recent crane jobs. It was a pretty big job including a total of 12 trees to be removed and several more pruned. This oak, while mostly straight forward, was big and in the corner of the yard. The previous day we had the bucket truck and were able to clear most of the lower problem branches, clearing the way for me to climb it and finish the removal the next day.

I think you said you’ve been climbing for 4 years so I haven’t been climbing as long as you. But I really enjoy these videos bc I can see how we cut alike but you’re more proficient with more skill. It’s like I can decode your movements easier than watching the RCs and Hunickes of KZbin, if that makes sense

Thanks, it might be because I haven't been climbing as long as them, so I'm still making rookie mistakes every now and then. And it could also be the types of trees that I'm climbing. Both of them have real tall skinny trees whereas most of the ones here are shorter but much broader

What a your favorite device? I have the zigg zagg and the akimbo also the rope wrench set up . What do you prefer?
@ReallyTallTreeGuy

For my day to day use I prefer thw zigzag, but for spikleaa pruning, or doing a takedown that requires me to be tied into another tree i definitely prefer the RRP.

Thanks. I don't have an akimbo, but everything that I have I ordered. Either from treestuff, or wesspur

@Really Tall Tree Guy gotcha might have to get one of those Gibbs grabs I run a zag already but a double ended flip would be nice

@@krisguttu1673 i got it on wesspur. It definitely takes a little getting used to it first. But it's always nice to always be flip lined in when you're going up a tree
