Can we just take a moment to appreciate TTG’s twirl of his chainsaw before he holsters it? All in one smooth badass motion.

Lol... I never thought about connecting a throwball to the climb line to advance it. Crazy how little things can make a difference. Over20yrs and never thought about it. 😆 thanks I am going to steal this method. 😆

I'm just a hobbyist and a coward, when running extreme angles on my climb line I run it on my DMM Bat plate with a lanyard to the tree or branch I'm on, puts the load on the tree not my gaffs if something gets caught on my climb line, it also makes positioning more comfortable. But again hobbyist and coward, just sharing ideas.

I hear if you run the saw in the dirt and then let your boss use the saw for the weekend, it'll come back with a new chain. Magic. Works every time. (jk don't do this, just enjoy a laugh)

Listening to your narrative is very informative. Common sense says there is a lot to learn before climbing and cutting tree limbs. Being hit by a tree limb must certainly be painful, not to mention debilitating. Its clear to me you have extensive knowledge and experience. I truly enjoy your videos over others I have watched. I always look forward to your next one as well as watching past videos.

Thanks for putting everything up on YT. Especially that little swing at 27 minutes. As a new climber, I know that we are always trying to do better and not make mistakes, but it is really good to know that somethings are just hard to do. It makes it so I give myself more grace when I mess up, knowing that even very good climbers like you struggle with some limb walks. Thanks so much for putting this video out.

How long do you usually run a rope on the zigzag before it starts to slip on you. I know you've had that problem. You talked about it couple months ago. Do you think its the rope or the zag? Cause I've been running the petzel control for a year and its starting to slip

Would you be so kind and share what state your in…south-east I gather…which pine is it - I am amazed how different they are…I work in diff states-Cali, Colorado, Illinois and Michigan- they all hinge a bit different no matter how similar they are. My fav thing to do if it gets pinchy…piece of bark(I know you have done it) love your rhythm or cadence and the no ego, no wordy bullshit…just get it done attitude.
