Who knew that raw broccoli could be so addicitive? And so simple to put together into a side dish that will disappear in a snap? Give it a try, I bet you’ll be as surprised as I was when I first tired it! XO Caroline

thankyou for this just discovered your channel so mayo is allowed in this diet?
@mediterraneanminutesАй бұрын
Sure, an very occasional dollop of mayo is ok just not lots of it but I might suggest a healthier option and it's what I do all the time... mix non-fat greek yogurt (1/2 cup for example) with a smidge of dijon mustard (½ tsp), salt (½ tsp) and a bit of olive oil (1 tsp)... the measurements are give-or-take since I usually just eyeball things. Another option is to make your own mayo with extra virgin olive oil and egg yolk (and garlic if you are so inclined), which I make too since it is such a standard here in Spain, called alioli (and a happen to have a video for it!). Hope these healthier suggestions are helpful. Cheers, Caroline

This looks delicious, but I have trouble eating raw broccoli. Could I steam the broccoli a little first, or substitute shredded Brussel sprouts? Thanks, Caroline.
@mediterraneanminutes2 жыл бұрын
Hi Nan, great to hear form you again. And yep, steam it if you like, same benefit!…and shredded brussel sprouts would be another excellent shoice (I love to add grated brussel srpouts to my skinny omelette when I have them). Thanks for sharing these ideas, I bet there will be other people who will be interested in both of your ideas! Cheers, Caroline
