Blessed and a job well done. I too just purchased a 10 acre piece of raw land and with Gods grace will turn out to be a magnificent looking ranch/farm when all said and done.

the chickens are to crowded even for meat birds they need to stay healthy and if you let them graze roam free they are going to healthier and healthier for you. My father raised chickens to eat and for eggs. That is the way he did and the chickens were healthier and meatier. so do not give them bad drugs or any bad feed. let them graze and if need to give them organic stuff to eat. just saying. A lot of people try to go with cheap feed that has all kinds of chemicals in it well those chemicals goes into you when you eat those chickens.

How the heck 😁did you get such a nice lawn after it had been an orchard?? We have a hard time growing grass on our homestead…any advice??😬
@crookedacres2 жыл бұрын
It wasn’t an orchard to start. We planted the fruit trees. (Orchard) As for the grass, we plowed everything and started from absolute scratch. Only real tips I can give you on grass seed is, make sure your buying grass seed that is predominantly perennial seed vs annual. Annual will come up very quick but dies out after a year. Secondly only plant in your cool season not the heat of summer and keep it well watered.

Thank you very much and also did you plant in the spring or fall?

Nice results, but that raw land was a heck of lot more lush than the grasshole you replaced it with.

find it odd how pole barn is not sitting on brick/damp courses surely the poles root

Laminated posts for pole barns are standard around my area.
