I'm guessing the landlord wasn't keeping up with apartment repairs. To many landlords getting away with renting dumps,in need of repair and not inspected properly. I doubt her charger caused this.

The building was built in the 1850s. More than likely wasn’t up to code at all or the others in the area. I feel horrible for this woman

Pray for all who were affected by this event. Just to remind anyone who wants to be critical of this young woman... if it were you in her shoes, would you want to be the subject of scorn and ridicule after something like this happens? I don't think so. I say this as a former hometown citizen of Ovid NY. Be kind.

I'm so sorry but I live on prospect street in Ovid I can see all the hot mess on main street I live here and yes my father worked at the Big M its now burned it started on th apartments all the way to the Italian kitchen I don't think its your fault love coming from Ovid new York also main street is still smoldering

Social media "influencers" screw them kid! YOU got people out safe. No one died! Everything else matters not!!! Lives. Everything! Folks get fire extinguishers in your home. Life. The only thing that matters! Kids, customers all safe. My city firefighting Dad would say "damn good job".

So sorry this happened. Please know that if the fire was inside the wall, there’s nothing you could have done to stop it. Especially if it was an electrical fire! Also, there was no time. Getting ppl out in time to save their lives was the most important thing you cd hv done! And it was all you had time for. If you had tried to put the fire out, you wd have failed and many ppl might have lost their lives. So, comfort yourself, knowing you did the right thing; the best thing; you saved lives! You are a hero! And even though it will take some time, most things can eventually be replaced; as long as you’re alive to do it! 🤗 And don’t pay any mind to the ppl shooting off their mouths. Ppl hv lost the ability to filter what they say. They are angry and confused, and just want to take it out on anybody they can. Try to ignore them. Try to focus on the positive. You are all alive! 👍🤗
