I’m only 55 but this was my life for 40 years (and skateboarding) now after a lame surgery and some other health problems I struggle keeping my stamina even cutting the weeds and lawn out here in Aiea. is pipe (when its not super messy) really that much harder to surf than wave similar like chopes and pascuales? it seems that the super shallow reef is the scariest part about it

Teahupo'o is as predictable as it gets, here you can go on what has the exact look of a perfect pipe/bdoor wave and it'll turn into a backwashy death clamping closeout.

@@ConD00R yeah teahupo'o looks way cleaner and with better shape. i was talking in terms of the drop and actually surfing the wave. I've never surfed pipe so I could be wrong but it doesn't seem that much harder of a takeoff, just sketchier and maybe more dangerous
