@@samirhernandez6520 The service intervals for a supermoto are much more regular than a bike that was made for the road. I would say supermotos are a lifestyle, they are essentially purpose-built for off-road competition racing. It does not make economical sense to own these types of bikes for everyday travel. But again it's more of a lifestyle choice. Even knowing all the cons of owning a supermoto, I now have a 2014 KTM 500 EXC. There are some supermotos that are more demanding of maintenance than others, what bikes are you looking at getting?

@@samirhernandez6520 Nice! I am only familiar with models 12-15. Most people change the oil, oil filter, and clean the air filter every 500 km. 10w-40 fully synthetic oil is about $80 for 4L (in Australia), and filters are $12 per when buying multiple at a time, and I use NOTOIL air filter cleaner, oil, and rim grease which is $33 in a set (you can use this heaps of times, but let's say you use it 10 times before needing to rebuy). I believe when changing the oil and the filter the bike requires 1.1 or 1.2 litres of oil when refilling. (1.2/4)*$80 + $12 + $33/10 = about $40 per 500kms. It's a good idea to check the valve clearances every 25 hours or so. If you stick to this maintenance routine, most importantly having good oil, the engine will last quite a while. 12-15 WRs are quite notorious for lasting a long time. Whereas, you hear people on forums saying KTMs requires more maintenance and more engine rebuilds. But I rebuilt my KTM top end (original bottom end & top end at this point) at 282 hours / 11056 km as it was burning oil, however, it was still running fine. So I would expect a well-maintained WR to greatly outlast 280 hours. Make sure to always use OEM parts for peace of mind, otherwise, quality aftermarket parts only, don't try to cheap out on anything, for me, it's not worth worrying about it. Other maintenance, fork oil changes and fork reseal replacements are done whenever are needed and all depends on the level of aggressive riding, I have only done this once on the KTM, fork oil and seals cost $150 (I ride off-road often as well). I have never serviced a rear shock, I just haven't idk why. I guess linkage and swingarm bearings are changed when needed, haven't done this yet either. Wheel bearings can go quite often but are $40, I have only had to replace them once on my rear dirt wheel. Then chains and sprockets last quite a while personally, I have ridden more than 5000kms on my current set (used on and off-road) and they look a bit rough, think they should be changed soon. $200 every 5000kms for that. Tyre costs will basically be like any other bike. Supermotos chew fuel, on my old WR I would fill up every 130kms, but I had a full exhaust system, the guy I bought it off had it on a dyno and tuned it using the Yamaha Power Tuner. It was super rich compared to a stock WR and but I like the riding feel of it. I can give you the fuel injection and ignition timing map I used if you want to try it. Oh and make sure to get a keyed ignition and always lock the bike up with at least a disk lock alarm! The bike in the video got stolen and I never got it back rip. My sprocket set up on the WR was 13/44 - I tried 14/44 but in first gear I had to slip the clutch a lot to get going. That is pretty much it.
