I appreciate it! We’ll get a little more opinionated as we go. Gotta start off slow and easy! Lol.

Having spent over 20 years as LE and military, I couldn't agree more. Once you lose your credibility, it's gone forever. I've always appreciated your honesty about what you do and your support for veterans and adoption, both of which are close to my heart. Keep up the great work brother! 🤙🏻

This is inevitably what's going to happen. Fishing is big business. I assume that big fishing tournaments have entrance fees. With the trend that you discussed, tournament organizers are going to be forced to have CAT scan/X-ray machines on site to make sure fish are legal. Entrance fees are going to skyrocket to off-set this fact. So, fishing tournaments are going to have to do the same thing they did in baseball. To get steroids out of the equation, offenders are suspended and eventually banned from baseball. To get irreputable fishermen out of the equation, cheaters need to be suspended and eventually banned from tournaments.

I agree. It’s really sad. Unfortunately even if all of this happened, there’s still all the lying and deception that goes on by pros and influencers.
@stevethompson33652 жыл бұрын
Totally with you on this. I can understand where money could influence someone to cheat of lie but it’s kind of self defeating. At the end of the day if I were to fish a tournament and lose at the very least I would know I did the best I could that day & sleep well that night. Really a shame that this happens

Yeah, it’s pretty pathetic. Even more so to see it happening in charity tournaments!

Catching walleye 35 down over 70fow is normal around Cleveland this time of year. When there is a thermocline they’ll often be 46-50 down.

Seemed crazy to me, but I’ll admit I’ve never fished up North or for Walleyes.

Awesome video and I never thought about the things you talked about in this video. It wasn’t until this week, when all the meme’s and videos of the two guys cheating, that I actually realized it was going on to such the degree you are talking about. I guess I never looked at it that way until now. I don’t tournament fish because I get to competitive with myself and if I don’t perform to a certain standard I get frustrated and then fishing (or anything for that matter) is no longer fun for me and becomes like a job. I enjoy being outdoors and fishing, if I don’t catch fish, it’s ok, but if I do, it’s ok too. I absolutely want to catch big fish like everyone else but even if you cheat like they did, and you’re lucky enough to get away with it, you will always know the truth and you have to live with it personally. I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t do it, I’d have to fess up at some point. Thank you for the video and your honest opinion.

Yeah man, totally agree! I fish for fun, and to get away from work and stress! I am very cautious not to turn fishing into that! I also don’t agree with livescope being used in tournaments, but we’ll address that in Episode 2! 😉

I agree with you (mostly) but an open question to contemplate. How does it change if nobody is willing to step forward & bring the individuals cheating into the light?
@FishingtheLoneStar2 жыл бұрын
Great question and I’ve asked myself the same. But then I’m reminded of the girl every season on the Bachelor who rats out the girl who’s there “for all the wrong reasons” and then both of them get sent home! It’s a fine line to walk! But if you pay attention and watch closely, you’ll see the fake-ness and deception happening. If it’s too good to be true, it usually is!

So much good stuff in this video! It’s unfortunate that you even have to make a video like this. We talk all the time about keeping it real and being authentic! By having integrity you never have to worry about having your morals or ethics questioned! 👊🏿
