Drs r not prescribing pain meds anymore so since pain still hurts, patients will take that minor drug or whatever cartels sell, sadly.
@joedanero53606 жыл бұрын
This is where I think Grady falls apart. @7:50 _"Let's understand that there are some in the community that are just too hard on criminals. They can change their ways"_ Building a straw man. _"Well I can tell you that Al Jenkins started with possession of heroin and possession of marijuana, ya know, that minor drug"_ Then he goes on to list the life of a career criminal. This has nothing to do with marijuana usage or people that believe people can be redeemed. This isn't logical nor is it even biblical for the audience that Judds statements were really directed at. Listen, this is the worst argument one can make against marijuana. Here's why. It is a gateway drug...... because it is illegal.... and in the hands of people like Jenkins it gives them a storefront to peddle harder addictive drugs to the entire population in order to make real money that weed doesn't make. These customers are people from all walks of life. They have to be exposed to people peddling hard drugs like Jenkins just to kickback in their house after a long days works, or to self medicate for some ailment that big pharma isn't affording them. Personally, I've seen this a few times when I used to smoke Mary Jane a couple of decades ago. It wasn't very often, but every once and a while buying off the street led to someone offering something hard and addictive. Also, being sold garbage that wasn't weed, being robbed, and possibly assaulted were things that have happened to not just me, but others. All that for a little bit of pot to hang out with friends and relax. Really? Fucking really? I couldn't just go to a store or a dispensary where it was safe and I wasn't exposed to crack or heroin? This "Drug War" has been a black-hole on tax-payers for the "socialist conservative agenda" for decades. At the foundation of his statement, Judd is essentially making the claim that anyone who has anything to do with marijuana "Ya know. That minor drug" is the worst of society. It's clear he hasn't noticed or is fighting the fact being that horse is on it's last leg for law enforcement. It's okay for law enforcement to offer a professional opinion within the scope of the law, but it should ALSO be based in current reality.... which means society has caught up. Sure it appeals to those who are not up to snuff, but it makes you look bad to those who are really in tuned. The latter of which being the majority now. There was no need for that comment by Judd because the wool called "Reefer Madness" has been lifted on most of the nation at this point. He's either out of touch with times or being disingenuous in this area. Other than that, I like this Sheriff for his logical clarity regarding procedure and his ability to explain to the public, but he muddles it with personal opinion from time to time which isn't always a great idea as it may catch up with him. For example, people who are in the know on only some specific issues may view his statements on this as validation to dismiss everything the sheriff says even when he is actually correct. BTW, medicinal marijuana has arrived in Florida. With that, Marijuana needs to be legalized, regulated, and taxed the same as tobacco and alcohol nationwide. Get it out of the hands of enablers with intent to profit from more destructive substances. Police have no control over marijuana. Pot is too easy to find now a days and people from all walks of life can, will, and do use it for various personal reasons. Why allow these people to go through the streets and people like Jenkins to obtain it when it can be taxed and regulated the same as alcohol and tobacco? This one is on the conservatives plate and it could be a strong reality based "freedom" platform for them to run on. Judd and others need to recognize that it's time for this game to end. I think they will eventually see the light willingly or not. Edited 6/22/2020 grammar

Ivan Jakanov _"people from all walks of life use it"_ Personally, I know and have known so many very different people that use it and weren't unsuccessful deadbeats. From street artist to successful businessmen. I don't think it affects everyone the same and personally it is not my cup of tea. I was able to determine that for myself and drop it after smoking for six or seven years almost daily. That was about 20yrs ago now, and I have smoked it once or twice every couple of years depending on the occasion. Most often it just ends up as a reminder of why I no longer like it. The other times it is nice and relaxing and I can appreciate that.... What I can't appreciate is that something that is objectively less problematic to society as alcohol or tobacco is illegal and is deemed as a schedule 1 drug next to heroin and more offensive than the hugely problematic schedule 2 Meth. That said, looking at the DEA's site on scheduling gets me even more infuriated. www.dea.gov/drug-scheduling I think it's time to revisit this list and it's entire logic! It would be nice to see republican voters put down their arrogant dogma for once and come forward to demand that this whole policy be scraped and rewritten. It has been obvious that it has been broken for decades and democratic voters have been well aware. It could maybe even be a sign of a piecemeal offering. I believe we need to legalize it now and continue to do more research(which is just now taking place) to equip the public with all the information they need to "freely" determine for themselves if it is beneficial or if it is harmful to them personally in their day to day lives. The people have already been doing this and look who has been profiting! Normally this wouldn't make sense. I would agree with looking into something first then determining if it is harmful or not to decide on legality. However, with this we are at a point now that it is causing more harm being illegal. Thanks for taking the time in reading my long internet rant.

Dave Martin I was addicted to pot for many years. I can first hand attest. It is extremely addictive and dangerous. It is destructive to ones health and causes memory loss. Weak people argue for it just like I did. If you need a drug, other than medical, you are simply weak.

This is not a typical crime that the police can prevent. This was a man who planned a revenge murder knowing that he will remain in prison for life. This is a 'for life' criminal. The mentality is pride before anything, and "it's not my fault," attitude. The wife won't have to worry the killer will never be on the streets again!!

I love the way this sheriff describes the crimes, he should be an author. I do have one question, what was the reason for trying to go after a guy who was fired from the job and the Union after they were gone and moved on? I am not saying that this was their fault but why go after him something seems off about that? Treasurers steal all the time, they never get caught while doing it and if you find out after they are gone its the cost of doing business. As for the murderer, He knows everyone's dirt if he's the treasurer, he should have used his brain instead of murdering him. He could dredge up their dirt or even manipulate records to create doubt and they would have backed off. When you follow the money EVERYONE has some weak spots, so killing the man (who was obviously beloved) was a stupid choice. I said all of this to show why he will probably get the death penalty for folk stupid enough to believe his back was against a wall or he had no other choice all around to cover himself.

Got to love a top-ranking cop who says precisely what people think, rather than pandering to some namby pamby, politically correct liberal police policy on press relations. UK police would do well to take these videos as training aides.

Poor Mr Jenkins.....he probably had a bad childhood........😒........ When "I" was a little girl, WE had some hard times Too. We lived in a boxcar, A railroad car, for a while. But I had NO idea that I would feel better about our hardships if I performed a "Drive-by" shooting and killed a man who was leaving for work...🤔

Niko Sleeis: I think Sheriff Grady said it that way to grab ppls attention. It’s a gift that storytellers have. He wanted to paint a picture with great detail about the weak areas of our justice system. He does a great job of making every person or system involved accountable as to where they have failed and could have prevented things. How the dangers of reducing accountability can lead to bigger problems down the road. No stones are left unturned with a storyteller because it captures their audience. It keeps you coming back for more.
