The Buff Daddy outro brings back some memories. In the late 90s, when we were dicking around at football practice, we’d of course bust out wrestling taunts. Mine was always the Bagwell strut followed by an “I’m simply delicious!”

I’m just gonna say it now much respect to Wrestling Bios as we continue the final years of the Monday Night Wars and of WCW Nitro. I have a feeling the Nitro side of things is gonna become painful to cover as the quality took a huge nosedive. So thank you in advance Wrestling Bios for your sacrifice giving us these weekly videos as WCW won’t be so enjoyable to cover for this series. 🙏🏻

Well, for the second time now I’ve caught up to the current release. The biggest change is that I’m less nostalgic for 90s pro wrestling and I’m more nostalgic for early Reliving the War. So after this one, it’s back to The Mall of America, Manhattan, and Episode 1. Love your stuff, WB. See you in a few months when I catch up again. And they reFUSE to SEE the CHANGE in ME…

WWE/WWF was doing massive business in 99, even more so than in 1998. During Austin's third title reign, he would set huge house show attendance records that have not been surpassed to this day only Rocky came close, and the ratings would just keep increasing at this point. Great time to be a fan of the product.

Next week's episode is about the time that I officially went from watching Nitro live mainly and watching Raw on tape to the other way around. I was such a diehard WCW guy and the actually wrestling instead of WWF and their nonsense...but I got tired of the horribly stale WCW booking, DQ finish in every single big match and the same NWO stories every week...also helped lead to the end of me watching any wrestling. Between Vince buying and burying WCW and ECW closing up shop I was basically done with the business until this channel. Still don't care about modern day wrestling but man is this channel fun to watch the past!!

I remember going to this Nitro in Toronto. About an hour before Nitro started crowd at THE ACC Chanted We Want Bret! It was an ok Nitro nothing great. Crowd Loved Hogan but the highlight of Nitro was Bret Hart coming out. The ovation was defeaning! Funny part was WCW putting in piped chants of Goldberg when Goldberg came out as he was booed heavily by the Toronto crowd. I believe the Orginal plan was they wanted Bret to go heel in Toronto. Bret refused & Bischoff sided with Bret staying babyface in Canada
