It's another WWF vs WCW battle this week on Reliving The War as we continue looking at the entire Monday Night War on a weekly basis. It's 7.22.96 and it's the night after WWF In Your House: International Incident, there's a new number 1 contender for the WWF title and his name is Vader. The International Incident results are covered in today's video.
This week's episode of Raw features a tag team main event, WWF Champion Shawn Michaels and Intercontinental Champion Ahmed Johnson taking on the Tag Champs Billy and Bart Gunn. During the main event, a new WWF superstar makes his debut, a former WCW World Heavyweight Champion who has been brought into the company by Sunny.
Over on WCW Nitro, Eric Bischoff and company are getting ready for the Hog Wild 1996 PPV. The Outsiders take over the production truck this week, and we see The 4 Horsemen in the main event taking on Lex Luger, Sting and Randy Savage. We also get our first proper look at Glacier this week!

I know a lot will disagree with me on this, but as terrible as Mongo was, I still believe Roma was a worse Horseman. For all his flaws, Mongo was at least doing something in the Horseman and managed to get himself over in 1997 to the point where his short US title reign was at least somewhat believable. His WCW stint also (in my opinion) had a few memorable moments along the way. Whereas Roma did nothing of note in the Horseman having only a very forgettable tag team championship reign to show for it, I even thought he was quite eh in Pretty Wonderful as well. In my opinion, when a non wrestler has a more memorable run than you, that's enough to make you the worst ever member of a wrestling stable.

Don't listen to the haters, Eddie was one of the greatest of all time. He entertained no matter the situation. I'm always down for an Eddie match! Also on another note, can you do a video or series of videos on the career of Jim Cornette? The dude was one of the greatest heel managers and bookers that wrestling saw. In fact maybe some more videos of managers would be nice to see in general. Keep pumping out those must see videos man, your killing it on here!

No joke it makes my whole night when I get to watch new episodes... and honestly its crazy to see this cuz I didn't realize how much of this i actually remember. My brother and I used to watch this religiously on monday's. Whenever my mom wasn't watching her novelas instead of flipping the channels, we would put Nitro on one TV and Raw on another TV in the adjacent living room and run back and forth between matches lolol. but i was really just a kid so idk how i remember so much of this. In the UK the Monday Night Wars never really existed. It was simply WCW 9pm on Friday nights until 10pm then you switched over to WWF. Everyone in the UK preferred WWF basically.

I've been watching these RtW videos since the first one. I not only find it extremely entertaining, but it kind of sends me down memory lane a little. You put together better documentaries than even the WWE at times. Keep up the good work! Oh, one other thing to note: My favorite part of these is the Glacier vignettes. The reactions and you "putting over" Glacier is hilarious. Interesting enough, I used to know Ray Lloyd for a time some years ago. He was actually good friends with a friend and co-worker of mine that was also heavy into wrestling. I don't exactly know how close he and Ray were at the time, but I do remember us inviting him to another friend's wedding. He actually came. At the reception, we all just talked and had a blast. Ray is an awesome guy. I haven't spoken to him in roughly a decade. If I am correct, he still lives in the Orlando area. So there's always a chance we'd bump into each other.
