Sec bias didn’t really start until 2006 when Florida upset Ohio state in the natty. Before that Auburn was left out of the natty in 04 and lsu had to split one with usc in 03.

I don’t even count Pitt as a ranked team.. SMU played Pitt and they were ranked cause they played nobodies and they thought they were supposed to be good this year, they finished horribly. Can’t trust pre season rankings, FSU was ranked top 10 to start the year, would that be a positive for beating them when they were ranked that high? Hell no they were dead last in the ACC and won 2 games all year. Judge them how they finished, not how they were when they played them unless they had like a significant injury to a big time player mid season
