While appreciating all the technological advances in juicing and the conveniences that technology brings, I'm hooked on quality. I haven't had juice from a nama and or a lot of these other gadgets, but I've owned several high quality slow juicers, and I'm assuming that the nama juice quality is commensurate and a very good high quality. But once I vac'd, I couldn't go back. Vacuum juicing is just too amazing! My experience is that the quality from something like a dynapro vacuum blender is the richest and smoothest I've ever experienced. In terms of cleanup between a standard slow juicer and this new hurom gadget how much time do we really save? a minute? 5 minutes? Even 10 minutes? Whatever it is it's kind of a moot point when it comes to the quality choice potential. Something that I don't hear people express very much in these videos is that no matter what juicer you use you still have to do the prep and clean up. And the prep is the same for all of them if you're cleaning your produce. Right? Although the cleanup will be different for the different juicing devices how much time are we talking about boys and girls? Between scrubbing a screen on a slow juicer or rinsing out a juice bag on a vacuum blender or even rinsing out this new gadget from hurom? When I was bouncing around looking for the right juicer for me, I was comparing price, clean up time, construction and materials etc, and the quality of the juice was down at the bottom of the list cuz the assumption was they're all kind of the same. Now a decade later there are significant differences available. I don't mean to be a vacuum juicing snob, but I kinda have become one. I was totally happy with my standard upright slow juicers until I saw that dynapro. The science just made too much sense for me not to try it. So I got a paper route and saved up some money (🤭) and I ordered one from discount juicers. The first time I tasted juice from that thing, a rainbow or merged out of my glass and I heard heavenly voices as the sun started shining in the kitchen window. So if it's a question of time in the work a day world, maybe these few cleanup minutes can be meaningful. However, if the issue is nutritional quality and flavor, then vacuum juicing might be worth looking at and considering. Unless john kohler has some new data, vacuum blending can make some of the most nutritious smooth consistency and tasty product available. I'm sure john will correct me if I'm wrong, but that's my understanding based on experience so far. Hope this information helps somebody in their journey, as other people have helped me with mine just by sharing their stories.

Glad you have adopted vacuum juicing with the dynapro blender. I would concur, it produces the highest quality juice, as well as highest yield. That being said, it is a bit of work, but it is worth it. It is truly next level!

Hello John, thanks for another amazing review. I've been juicing for as long as you have. I own the Nama J2 with the optional large hopper which has served me well. With that said I always enjoy getting and using a new device. The big plus on the the Hurom H70 is of course the "easy clean" ability. But the downside vs. the Nama are: no larger hopper option, no nesting containers, poor warranty (2 year parts, 10 year motor) vs. 15 years on the entire machine and higher 90 rpm vs. 50, which introduces more oxygen. I rather enjoy the pulp. I think I've answered my own question but, should I forget about the Hurom, or try it out with the 30 day return? Also I wonder if Nama is working on an easy clean retro fit for the J2? Thanks John and be well!
@discountjuicers3 ай бұрын
While the Nama J2 with 3L hopper is still my favorite, I have been using the Hurom H70 in my home lately, since I love the easier cleaning. that being said the smaller hopper does bother me a bit, but for what it is it works well. I have requested Nama make a retrofit kit to make "easy clean" attachments for the J2 to offer customers MORE Flexibility. I am not sure they will take my suggestions or not on this one. They seem kinda entrenched into the screen design. Please watch my H70 vs J2 comparison at: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eafVpKmGj6idadE In the end I like both machines for different reasons. I also enjoy the hurom h70 seems to more easily rejuice pulp than the j2.

Thank you for your reviews on juicers. I want to buy a juicer for my friend who is particularly interested in juicing carrots. Which juicer would yield the most carrot juice? Thank you!
@discountjuicers3 ай бұрын
For the most carrot juice, honestly, you can't beat a $2500 pure juicer. Most people won't buy that. A GOOD centrifugal ejection juicer, such as the breville will extract a HIGH YIELD on carrots (but poor on other items) but it will also oxidize the juice more, so it really depends on ALL the factors that are important to you.

teacher John, what do you think of Hurom H320N juicer compared to nama j2? Which is better and why? and What is the best slow juicer in terms of nutritional benefits?
@discountjuicers3 ай бұрын
I have not tested the Hurom H320N. That being said the biggest problem with the H320n is the short 2 year warranty. For that reason, I would recommend the Sana 878 Juicer that appears to use the same juicing parts as the H320n but it has a full 15 year warranty and a sorbet attachment that is not available for the h320n. I will post an unboxing video for the Sana 878 soon and will film a J2 vs 878 video in the near future. Each has their own pros and cons.

Can you juice without the level gauage attached on the H70? (put it in a drawer, since it's an unnecessary part to clean...)
@discountjuicers3 ай бұрын
I would not recommend that. IF you fail to put that part on, the juice will run down the motor base and likely cause issues. I personally wish they didn't make this level gauge thing.
@aljuman3 ай бұрын
But John, if you squeeze the fruit in the Nama J2 juicer, does the juicer expel vitamins and fiber with the dry pulp, or is it in the juice? And I want a brief difference between Nama J2 and Pure juicer, and which is most beneficial for health
@discountjuicers3 ай бұрын
Unless you are vacuum blending and keeping all fiber, and plant material, which would include 100% of the vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients in the item being blended. Some oxygen sensitive nutrients will be lost. When Juicing fruits or vegetables with ANY JUICE, Percentage of Vitamins, Minerals & Phytonutrients are in contained in the juice and the rest of the vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients and fiber are in the pulp. The question is HOW MUCH? and that really depends on the specific juicer, the extraction process, and what is being juiced. For fruit, because it is SO EASY to digest, I recommend eating or vacuum blending for maximum nutrition. For leafy greens and root vegetables, I do see great benefit in juicing these items that are not well digested due to their fiberous nature and juicing releases the nutrients from these items. For a full comparison of the Pure and Nama J2 see: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qGqlnpVuat6WhbM for my comparison. You may also want to watch the debate I had with the owner of Pure about J2 vs Pure at: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIvOfaajeJKDnsU The answer to what is most beneficial for health, depends on your specific parameters. IMO the Pure leaves nutrients in the pulp due to the fine nature of the press cloth, however it does make more yield in most cases. It does also grind better than the J2, which unlocks more nutrients, but it also oxidizes them at the same time due to the high RPM. So in the end buy the one you will use most.

What about the H200? Is that an older, less desirable model?
@discountjuicers3 ай бұрын
I would not recommend the H200, it is one of their first versions of the screenless design and has a 2 part "screen" + auger. I found it put even more pulp into the juice than these updated versions, and the yield was not as good, thus Hurom transitioned away from that design.
