So many good memories of eating at Rax after school with my folks in the 80s. It was my favorite place to eat. Loved the BBQ sauce before they started using generic sauce.

Not so long ago, a friend of mine told me that some of the Arby's restaurants in my area are former Rax. This video proves it, because the Arby's near me looked just like this Rax up until the 2017 remodel. Any Arby's with a Solarium (or had one) was a former Rax. I found evidence showing that Rax left my area in the early 90's.

I miss Rax so much. I was a kid when ours was around, and I loved the alligator cup (should've saved one of those) and the nice, warm chocolate chip cookie you got with a kids' meal. My mother loved the salad bar, I loved the milkshakes, and I loved getting a coupon for a free roast beef whenever I filled out a customer satisfaction card.

my parents would stop off sometimes at a rax because we bugged them so much on our way through ohio to my grandparents. i remember the beef and cheddar and blueberry milkshake

Well, I see all the photos of the roast beef sandwiches, but they look like just dry beef (no sauce), kinda like Arby's. But in the late 80's, I remember Rax having a sandwich that was chopped meat _smothered in BBQ sauce._ It was then slopped onto a soft, fresh, sesame seed bun - and the sauce would start soaking through the bun! Do they not still have that sandwich?
