As someone who is just getting into the PoE endgame now, i’d absolutely love to see a Rax tutorial series on an Introduction to Mapping, through to advanced Mapping and ‘juicing’ (I’m still not really sure what that means yet)

if you are just starting out and still learning the ropes, its normally just good to just alch and go and progress your atlas using a generic starting atlas from maxroll. then pick a farming strategy (on maxroll or some other guide source) that you find interesting and just do that alot to get currency. even advanced mapping strategies should be available there but i would advise not going for those until you know what you are doing. juicing simply means investing as much as you can manage in the map/strat you are doing expecting exponential rewards from all the multipliers you stack up. meaning pumping as much currency into a map as possible, winged scarabs/sextants delirium legion ambush and an atlas built specifically for high risk and high reward (also not that often we get an in map league like this one so this league is extra juicy with wisps). in alot of cases you are putting in several divines worth of currency in doing a map and hoping to get many times that in return. so if you fck up or end up trying to do more than you can manage (like if raxx did this solo without an aurabot, despite him having a REALLY expensive character) youll have lost big time from all that you put into the map that you cant do. doing this also takes so much prep and help with external tools (3rd party tools to help you manage things and filter through stuff) and having to deal with tft discord to buy the juice/sell your stuff unless you have a dedicated trader (which alot of people who do this thing long term do, not 100% necessary as i dont think raxx has one, but after a long time its normal to have one since doing the trades yourself is hella tiring).

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong in the wildwood. I have the diamond strat and all of that, but it seems like my vision runs out so much faster than these guys I see on youtube. I had a map last night that I correctly identified my position in. I hit 3 events before my vision ran out but only gained 3k wisps. I see guys like raxx getting 3k just from following a trail between events. Is there some way to buff wisp gained that I'm missing?

There's two orb thingies that look somewhat similar to each other. One gives you more time in wildwood whereas the other reveals an area around it. You also have to provide a little bit more context to your strat - hopefully you are putting a priority on monster packsize, which will give you more wisps from the monsters you kill inside the wildwood. There's a lot of unseen nuances to this league mechanic. I also recommend doing practice runs in T1 alch-and-go maps. Don't even complete the map, just cycle through wildwoods to get a better feel for it.

@abhidey646 fair points. I do pick up the booster orbs as well. I think I misspoke a bit, its not that I run out of visibility to quickly but instead I just don't seem to get anywhere near the number these guys get. I think you nailed it, I'm still running early yellow maps so I'm probably not getting the same monster density as Raxx. I mistakenly assumed the mechanic was equivalent regardless of map tier.

@@mattl1807 I think you can hit enemies that are far away from your lit areas with bow so people like me, running minion build etc, are just kinda screwed in that sense. And yeah like you said, mob density is a factor and if you put in some scarabs like I've seen Raxx do often, you can expect some returns... add some quantity and quality to your map (but dont waste your scarabs on some low level map)

You just need a lot of rng to get a good 8k+ wildwood, you want the events that provide the wisp bombs that give like 2k when you pick them up, and ideally like 2 of the small orbs that refresh the duration. If you get too many merchants you won’t get very many wisps, remember that this is probably one map of like hundreds so it’s just all about doing a lot

Are you a giga-bow build like Raxx? like 75% of the wisps he gets are from off screening mobs in the dark with his random shots. His TS clears most of the map of mobs even though he doesn't reveal them with his vision radius. It's honestly broken what ranged can do in the Wildwood vs. what melee or skillshot builds can do.

Depends on the items. If they can be farmed in maps, the items will be cheaper (squire is 1 to 2 divs for example). If it's not affected by the league (like boss drops) the prices are sky high (like gems and boss unqiues).

The life is from petrified blood. He has 46 mana which is enough to cast his skill and he has enough regen to keep casting. It’s really low because it’s reserved for auras.

I had 14k wisps the other day had 46 divs 68ex drop a mageblood and headhunter drop and 3 other t0 drop all in the same map. I told a bunch of yters this and they said I was dumb and that it wouldn't be any better then kalandra league. Who's the dumb ones now lol.
