Thanks for your vid. Strong work. I rocked my first pair of frog skins in 1985. Witsh I still had them. They are more comfortable than the ray bans. I prefer Oakley. I prefer a bat wolf or a fuel cell or frog skins for better coverage.

They both have their pros and cons. Pros for Ray Ban: Classic look, sturdy solid frame, glass lenses. Pros for Oakley: Contemporary look, lightweight frame, plastic hinges better for the pool/water. Cons for Ray Ban: Heavy Frame, metal hinge can rust if around water environment often, glass lenses not good for sport related activities. Cons for Oakley: lightweight can be perceived as feeling "cheap", and plastic lenses can scratch easier. I have both and use each according to the activity I'm doing. Ray-Ban for dressing up and Oakley for active and sport activities. 😎😎

I find the Wayfarers leave a painful red mark on my nose. It’s the weight of them combined with the inward tilt. Frogskins are so much more comfy.

@@jamiemac3246 i actually wear the new wayfarer which does not have the tilt and has a matte finish so they grip very well. Pretty comfortable frame. Give those a try.

Oakley is far more versatile. Try sitting on your ray bans it will break, sit on the Oakley and the arms just pop out which can be put back in place. Plus you can buy extra lenses for frogskin and change them as you wish, I don't think u can do that with ray bans.

I love the frogskins. The Ray Bands in my opinion have to much of a v-shape on the top of you see what I'm saying. the frogskins do too but not as much and the start to go back down towards the edge.

Frogskins look cool but the lenses are super easy to scratch. I actually got a pair after selling my American Optical Aviators which have glass lenses and oh boy was I disappointed with Oakley. I could put my AO's in my pocket without the case and not have to worry about scratches. With the Prizm Oakley Lenses I scratched them the first day I got them. Just by using the microfiber baggie that it came with. Wayfarers are better in every way. Glass lenses might be a bit heavier, but they will NOT scratch easily.

The hinges are plastic so they can snap back in when they get bent or broken off. Do your research.

Go watch this and then tell me that glass is better. /watch?v=JmULS__CEiE Coating is the only thing you can scratch and glass lenses use coatings as well. What I personally like about oakley is that they at least have technology and smart design for practical use/functionality and the looks. Before both joined to the one family oakley was actually a competitor where ray-ban was mediocre glasses for mediocre price. The only thing that mad them so popular was famous users like actors and presidets. Both are expensive but at least oakley have something more then just brand behind the price tag.

Paul Hopkins Good luck replacing a pair of Ray Bans when the metal hinges bend or break off completely, Oakleys snap on and off for that reason. Your eyes are self correcting what you see with the layers of glass and polarized film GLUED together, the glass in your lenses aren't even from the same cut. Oakleys are made of ANZI Z 87.1 Standard Plutonite, your lenses are from the same cut then blasted with Iridium particals. Oh you're wearing RayBans but a projectile hit them and now you have hundreds of glass shards and grain in your eyes? Wow you'll look retro and "cool" at least right? Ray Bans are has been- $25 drugstore shades, (Really, they were.) out dated and aren't up to today's standards ask any athlete, law enforcement or Military personnel.

I wouldn’t say that the Ray-bans are made of higher quality material. The o matter ( oakleys proprietary plastic) is Stronger than Acetate ( ray ban) while being lighter and more flexible. At the end of the day they’re both still cool, just different
